Now that's a "glass half full" perspective. Only maybe it's a "glass 1/100th full" one.

I don't disagree with the underlying position. I've written before that our culture effectively treats the President as royalty and all he or she is is the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch of Government. I believe that the Constitution does establish Congress as the most powerful branch. I think it was smart to make the branch that has a whole bunch of people in it the most powerful one. And I think this thing of acting like the President is made of gold so that they do things like shut down a highway when he goes and visits a city is nonsense.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

It's behind a paywall. Quit bitching. If two paragraphs is all you can read... you're welcome to scroll when you're overloaded.

The Mooch is loose.

Trump Removes Anthony Scaramucci From Communications Director Role

President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision said Monday, relieving him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president’s senior staff.

Mr. Scaramucci’s abrupt removal came just 10 days after the wealthy New York financier was brought on to the West Wing staff, a move that convulsed an already chaotic White House and led to the departures of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the president’s first chief of staff.

The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president, not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.

It was not clear whether Mr. Scaramucci will remain employed at the White House in another position or will leave altogether.

Now he's at -22 in the job approval rating in the flipping Rasumussen poll. If you just take the two most recent (Gallup and Rasmussen) that's this average.

BTW I do think making Kelly the Chief of Staff will help his approval rating some. I expect to see a little narrowing of the gap for him soon.

I also wouldn't be surprised, though, if Kelly resigns after a while. I can see a scenario in which he just can't stomach Trump anymore.

Sanders: "He didn't"
Q: "So he lied?"
Sanders: "I wouldn't say it was a lie"

What would Sarah Sanders be doing if her daddy wasn't a Fox News hack?

Speaking of pious frauds, Mike Huckabee takes the cake: no entitlement reform for him! Leave my Social Security alone! He's about as "conservative" as JSO. :coffee:

If we all found out later that it actually happened.... and it was a WH staffer who made the call and impersonated the Boy Scouts commissioner...

that would be equally disturbing - but also equally unsurprising

Tillerson is HUGE with BSA- it is his biggest thing outside of his career...

I wondered what he thought of Trump's speech

I'm sure you've heard reports on the new Quinnipiac on Trump.

https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-de ... aseID=2476

I'm horrified.

I mean, 26 percent of respondents said they are proud to have Trump as President while 54 percent said they are embarrassed.

Only 54 percent are embarrassed? Are you kidding me?

And who are these people who are actually proud?

I don't see how ANY sane adult isn't embarrassed by having THIS guy as President of our country.

The base is slowly starting to crack, though.

Down to 43% among non-college educated whites.

He signed it but he's not happy about it...
"The bill remains seriously flawed -- particularly because it encroaches on the executive branch's authority to negotiate."

Because a conservative led congress put limits on his authority... (go figure)

Yep

He can't possibly win re-election

At least until the DNC nominates Flava Flav
