You have done it verbally as well. When I talked to you the day you posted this you were dropping the zero in your speech also so if you have been doing that verbally to others then getting a roll your eyes type of look I'm sure can understand why.
I also said the market would drop about 35% to 40%

Yes, you were. I'm sure you can see how that adds to the confusion and the subterfuge of it all. :D

Against my better judgment, I'll get out after the record dates for upcoming dividends for PEP and GE. If the market gets that low in November, I'm getting back in again. It'll have to go back up at some point.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ( DJIA ) was hammered for a 149-point loss yesterday, and the DJIA enters today trading below a 50% retracement of its 2010 high and low. The position is precarious in that the Dow is hovering just above key support at the 10,290 area, home to prior resistance and its 10-day moving average, even as traders prepare for the Fed's decision on U.S. monetary policy. Along the same lines, the S&P 500 Index ( SPX ) plunged below its widely watched 200-day moving average yesterday. This trendline is viewed by many market technicians as a bull/bear market line of demarcation. Heading into the open, futures on the DJIA and the SPX are trading about 41 points and 4.5 points above fair value, respectively. Finally, keep in mind that market headwinds could be significant in this post-expiration week environment, as traders reestablish hedges that expired last week. This activity could also increase volatility, as seen by the CBOE Market Volatility Index's ( VIX ) continued rebound from support at its 200-day moving average.

Bailing out of GE today. Taking my 20% gain over last year and just hope it goes down more to reinvest in the fall (yeah, I know, completely that's completely selfish and looking out for my own self-interest...but I'm not gonna get rich working for the government lol).

Yep the market is certainly falling fast. I guess the question is, is it a manufactured drop as my buddy cleets2 suggests or is it that with even with all the creation of money and existing stimulus and talk of future stimulus that we simply haven't dealt with the root of the problem. Massive public and private debt. :?

On what good news would the stock market be going up on? Like you said, debt is massive across the board, the housing market is a few years away from being healthy, unemployment appears unlikely to budge anytime soon, the oil continues to spill unabated in the Gulf. Hard to see something positive in all of that. But if it gets low enough people will swoop in and buy on the cheap. There's a floor somewhere.

Got locked into this conversation with a hedge fund manager this weekend. his opinion is that the S&P will have huge ups and downs over the next 6 months, but overall will likely even out over the next year. He was not as gloom and doom as Cleetus, but his estimated S&P returns for the next 12 months = 0%-1% at most.

So in other words, he's looking elsewhere for the time being.

The S&P 500 is banging away at the 1040 support level. If it breaks through, the next significant support level is around 870. Go short or cash, bitches. Seriously. All the technical indicators look like shit. It appears that all the major indexes gapped below their 200-day moving averages today, as well. This is looking really bad.

The only part in my 401K that is doing anything worth a shit is my Berkshire Hathaway stock. I'm keeping it maxed out in percentage and the bonds are definately looking better than the rest of the dead dogs I got in the race.

Yeah, because real estate markets are very stable and Kreugerrands are highly liquid.
