A great many Southrons and yankees will have a whole lot of explaining to do when they go to their reward. I'm not sure if Yahweh even allows yankee scum to pollute his sacred home with their presence but if he does they will have to explain to THEIR people why they allowed others to attempt to vilify those with whom they struggled. Southrons who do not Stand up NOW for YOUR family, YOUR culture, and YOUR heritage deserve that heritage NOT! General Stephen D. Lee....

While on the subject of POW's it should be noted that the yankees we captured were fed the same ration as their guards. Medicine was ruled to be "contraband of war" by the federal authorities and the blockade of Southern Ports made it impossible to provide more than what was given. The suspension of the exchange by the federals doomed their men. Grant and lincoln knew that if exchanged our men would go back to the ranks and their men would go back to their homes. It is SHAMEFUL, in the land of plenty, that a HIGHER PERCENTAGE of Confederate Soldiers died in the hands of the federal authorities than coercers died in our captivity.
