Gee, were it not for this article, I would have no idea that I was ruled by my local police, as it says I am. Insightful.

As for the Confederate Battle Flag, I'll be the first to say that it carries a lot of bad meanings, especially by those who used it after the Civil War, and that the use of it does need to be watched, but I think you've jumped past hyperbole when you compare it with the Swatzika. But I guess you meant to do that. :coffee:
Or course he meant to do it! Jon could compare a humid two mile hike to the Bataan Death March. AND MEAN IT!

Meanwhile, nothing from John about an apparent invasion of privacy. What does the son have to do in any of this? But, that's what you get with people that always see red. They never sit back, examine everything and think rationally. Everyone is oppressed. Everyone is racist. Sometimes whites do stupid shit to blacks (and vice versa) and it's not racist.

Not that I don't agree with you, but fuck that reporter. Put the video camera down and pack up your shit with two hands instead of one. He was wasting the police officer's time by not exiting as quickly as possible. There didn't appear to be any reason given as to why they needed to exit so quickly but it certainly could have been for his own, and the officer's, safety. But this douchebag felt that he had plenty of time and decided to use only one hand to gather his belongings.

This. Do what the police say and you won't get arrested. It's a pretty simple concept.

For the past year, a French government website has warned French travelers to avoid visiting the area north of downtown St. Louis were the police shooting of a black teen Saturday sparked violent, racial tensions that now are being addressed by the White House.

Reporters had been working there all week. If they were suddenly endangered that should have been quickly communicated but the police left at first and then came back and it doesn't appear that an explanation was given. It's called freedom of the press gentlemen...it's called America. :coffee:

Haven't read the thread real close so this may have been asked before...

Does this happen if the kid that was shot was white, Asian or Latino?

Does an explanation really need to be given?
It's called publicly funded resources. Stop wasting them by performing a one-handed pack. Pack quickly and let them proceed on to the next task.

Did you read the article? He tried to leave in a timely manner the way one of the cops told him to, and then one of the other dipshits told him not to.

Yeah, but you gotta love the irony.

Lets see - the town is 60% black, the POlice are 92% white, the white police chief keeps a confederate flag on his basement wall.... an unarmed black kid gets shot by a cop, including several rounds while his hands were up and he was 30 feet away....coincidence? We'll let you decide...

I'd say the shooter wasn't worried about the chief having his back...

What a piss-poor excuse for a freedom-loving American. Its a good thing our founding fathers weren't such cringing milksops. :ohno:
