A US-funded flight carrying the first group of 59 white South Africans has landed in Washington where the Trump administration is to grant them refugee status.

President Donald Trump has said the refugee applications for the country's Afrikaner minority had been expedited as they were victims of "racial discrimination".

The South African government has denied this saying any allegations of persecution would not meet the threshold required under "refugee law".

Immigrant rights activists have criticised the fast-track refugee initiative, describing it as "unfair" for the "most vulnerable". The Trump administration has halted almost all refugee admissions including those coming from countries at war.

I'd be interested in hearing a rational argument for why this isn't racist when compared to the Haitians and others.

I took it you understood ‘was booted’ would mean deported. None of those handful of people was deported. And we only got their side of the story, not whether they were overstays or out of status.

So again, Show me a link where a visa/green card holder was booted for operating a lemonade stand or for a single simple speeding ticket, as the X post claimed could happen.

Supreme Court blocks Trump from restarting Alien Enemies Act deportations

The Supreme Court on Friday blocked President Donald Trump from moving forward with deportations under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act for a group of immigrants in northern Texas, siding with Venezuelans who feared they were poised for imminent removal under the sweeping wartime authority.
...
The court referenced another case that had reached it previously, that of the Maryland man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly removed to El Salvador. The court noted that the Trump administration has represented that it is “unable to provide for the return of an individual deported in error to a prison in El Salvador.”

Given that, the court said, “the detainees’ interests at stake are accordingly particularly weighty.” In other words, the court was saying it is important to get the legal questions correct before people are removed, potentially, forever.

The court added that the way the Trump administration was handling the removals did not “pass muster.” Specifically, the justices pointed to notice of only 24 hours that was “devoid of information about how to exercise due process rights to contest that removal.”

The Supreme Court sent the case back to the New Orleans-based 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals for further review, saying in its order that the appeals court erred in dismissing the detainees’ appeal.

Looks like the trump regime's refusal to facilitate the return of Abrego Garcia was a factor in their decision. If they're sending people to a possible life sentence in a foreign country from which the regime appears to be powerless to facilitate their return then we better make sure they should be sent.
