He holds some of the beliefs that he puts forth on his show but he goes over the top to get people interested and listening. He has a flair for drama much like many others out there. In other words he's playing a role and has cultivated a persona to get a greater audience and make people either love him or hate him. Really now, should I take what he says and think that everything in his performance is true? If I should then I guess I better start thinking that other performers like Alec Guiness is really Adolf Hitler. I guess that D1B, and Cap'n are really the characters they portray on the boards then as well. Some of you guys on both sides that act like RL is really the character he plays on the radio are pretty funny to me.
Of course that don't matter a bit cuz there are a shitload of dumbasses out there that DO think everything he says is real and that is why he will have a real challenge to buy in to the Rams. The perception thing is a real bitch I guess.
But about 20 million Americans believe virtually every word that comes out of his mouth
I've worked with sh!t loads of them

Nobody actually reads in this forum, they just read the first line or two and then call BS or tell you you're a crinkly old conk who makes love to the bore of their shot gun/a government teet sucking flake who is to busy shaving their taint to realize HObama is ruining this country.

Good post DJ, the only thing that would have made it a little better would be if you had included someting about making love to a shotgun or shaving your taint.JMU DJ wrote:Ursus A. Since we're being accurate here 20 million do not believe every word he says. I don't have the exact figure for you but there is a "shitload" of dolts that only listen because they don't believe a word that he says.

The McNabb Limbaugh spoke of had not accomplished shit but the media made him out to be a HOF talent and at the time he wasnt.
Even you idiot jackass donks have to admit McNabb has been a COMPLETELY different player since this incident, if Limbaugh said this now it would be wrong................at the time it wasnt.

I don't think there was a cause-effect relationship in his performance that can be definitively linked to the Limbaugh utterances, Alfred, but, as I said above, what Limbaugh said was poitively correct.

Re: Limbaugh should be blocked from bidding on Rams
I am not saying Limbaugh made McNabb better because of his comments.
But McNabb is a WAY better QB now than when Limbaugh made those statements. McNabb wasnt a guy you wanted on your fantasy league before, now when healthy he may be one of the top 2.

What's the difference between McNabb and Sanchez, Ryan, Stafford, Rivers, Cutler, Eli, Leinart? The media has talked them up just as much prior to them actually doing anything in the NFL. The media talks up a lot of young QB's and athletes prior to them doing anything at all. Look at Lebron, king of the world before he even played in the NBA.

I hope you don't mind but the fat white ass kissing will done on the inside, in the fashion described in your "Book of Questions" thread. I can't wait to grab hold of those titties to get some real traction.
Re: Limbaugh should be blocked from bidding on Rams
Surprise, but Rush is already down a vote, and Pope Goodell isn't a fan, either:
Rush Limbaugh's bid to buy the St. Louis Rams ran into opposition within the NFL on Tuesday. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay vowed to vote against him and commissioner Roger Goodell said the conservative commentator's "divisive" comments would not be tolerated from any NFL insider.
"I, myself, couldn't even consider voting for him," Irsay said at the owners meetings. "When there are comments that have been made that are inappropriate, incendiary and insensitive ... our words do damage, and it's something that we don't need."
..."Divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about," Goodell said. "I would not want to see those kind of comments from people who are in a responsible position in the NFL."

The NFL needs to do a better job of riding herd on its own, then.

I think they do, but no one is stupid enough to pull a Limbaugh. They may be conservative businessmen, but, by and large, they're like a lot of us, probably, fiscal conservative, social liberal. Limbaugh is off the charts the other way.native wrote:bench wrote:Surprise, but Rush is already down a vote, and Pope Goodell isn't a fan, either:

I wonder how many of the black players who have a problem with Limbaugh have a problem with Jay Z being a partner in the New Jersey Nets. Jay Z's background is much worse than anything Limbaugh has ever said or done.
