Reminds of thar time in 2004 with John Kerry:
Mr. Kerry’s Ohio hunting adventure started last Saturday, when the senator, campaign entourage in tow, went into a grocery store and asked the owner: “Can I get me a hunting license here?” Even the phraseology sounded staged. Mr. Kerry ordinarily doesn’t talk this way, and his language sounded fake and patronizing — as if he was pretending to talk like someone from rural Ohio.…

….When Mr. Kerry went hunting on Thursday in Boardman, Ohio, the event was tightly choreographed. Even as Mr. Kerry allowed himself to be photographed wearing a camouflage jacket,….

….After two hours of hunting, photographers with long photo lenses noticed that Mr. Kerry’s hand was bloodied. By the time he reached the reporters, he had tucked that hand into his sleeve. Unlike the other hunters, all of them carrying their geese, Mr. Kerry was careful not to be photographed holding the bird he shot…..

Romney did similar in 2012 claiming to be a ‘lifetime hunter’ yet it was later discivered he had hunted twice in his entire life..

If the early vote numbers being reported for places like PA are correct, the polling and red wave may be off a bit.

Early voting in PA started something like a week or so before Fetterman's debate fiasco so those numbers may be a little skewed.
It's going to be more of a tsunami than a wave.

Early voting #s (eary voting PA is by mail) are WAY down from 2020.
Early voting #s are up from the last midterm election 2018 but that is apples to oranges, because 2018 PA stilll had excuse absentee voting by mail. Now they have no excuse absentee early voting, which means way more early voting 2020 forward. So there is no midterm under the same early voting rules to compare 2022 to.

It’s a numbers game. mid-terms are rough for the party in control. Low turnout traditionally favors R’s anyway. Have the most recent numbers showed a slowdown?

Not at all, but bucking the trend, lots more Conks in GA have early voted this year compared to recent elections.

At least he is finally being blunt on the entire Democratic parties war on energy independence they have been conducting since the Obama administration.

A vote for Cthulhu would probably be a better vote than the Uniparty, although I slowly see MAGA voting out incumbents. Still a long way to go though.

I can be an absurdist. I find my point gets across a bit easier if I use some humor. And I am a huge classic literary fan so I get to kill two birds with one stone with that meme.

I also try to follow the philosophy that if I am not laughing at myself, I am probably being too serious and need to lighten up a bit (I have a picture in my house that says "Don't take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive").

My personally philosophy is a bit of mix as I try and follow a live and let live way of life in most areas. But I also have zero issue pursuing a scorched earth policy in other areas. I can be lenient up to a point, after that they are free to piss up a rope. It is probably a good thing that the "point" is pretty high. Guess I am like an onion.

And as I get older the below is turning into my life goal.

I guess I am taking a more pragmatic approach. It is a start, but I am holding out giving a grade until I see exactly if they live up to their talk.

As long as the new boss isn't like the old boss, it "should" be a step in the right (pun intended) direction. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it. The swamp is more like Cuyahoga River in the 60's and it is going to take a bit more than talk to clean it up.
