You could probably throw Matt Taibbi and a few others in with that group as well.
That's quite a few folks. I wonder why?
If you hate the culture wars, blame liberals
On Thursday I posted a series of charts that all documented a similar theme: Since roughly the year 2000, according to survey data, Democrats have moved significantly to the left on most hot button social issues while Republicans have moved only slightly right.
This wasn't meant to be a rigorous scholarly analysis. And you can argue about margins of error, question wording, choice of topics, and so forth. Still, the gaps are too big and the trend too consistent to ignore the obvious conclusion that over the past two decades Democrats have moved left far more than Republicans have moved right:
I've made this point many times before, and I want to make it again more loudly and more plainly today. It is not conservatives who have turned American politics into a culture war battle. It is liberals. And this shouldn't come as a surprise: Almost by definition, liberals are the ones pushing for change while conservatives are merely responding to whatever liberals do. More specifically, progressives have been bragging publicly about pushing the Democratic Party leftward since at least 2004—and they've succeeded.
Now, I'm personally happy about most of this. But that doesn't blind me to the fact that "personally happy" means nothing in politics. What matters is what the median voter feels, and Democrats have been moving further and further away from the median voter for years:

Not all that surprising. Wokeness is a negative for many including myself. Issues that don’t directly/personally effect people rarely are. Especially in a selfish, distracted, and unsympathetic culture like the U.S.Baldy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 11:18 pmYou could probably throw Matt Taibbi and a few others in with that group as well.

During crisis periods especially, there’s going to be some hard push back against rapid change and longing for the good old days when things were emotionally easier for practically everyone.
The commentators that have seemingly moved right are a part of this. Money is also an issue. It seems easier to get funding and eyes on your brand by being contrarian which often these days is a hot take against irrational change and rejection of corporate media wokeness and conformity.

So let’s circle back to this…
https://www.thedailybeast.com/russian-s ... -electionsAs Russia’s war of aggression continues to ravage its neighbor, the Kremlin’s propaganda apparatus has been more blatant than ever in outlining the country’s goals for its biggest nemesis: the U.S.
Last week, American intelligence officials reportedly assessed that Russian President Vladimir Putin may use the Biden administration’s support for Ukraine as a pretext to order a new campaign to interfere in U.S. elections. Though AP reported that “it is not yet clear which candidates Russia might try to promote or what methods it might use,” Russian state media seem to be in agreement that former U.S. President Donald Trump remains Moscow’s candidate of choice.
The time is coming “to again help our partner Trump to become president,” state TV host Evgeny Popov recently declared. On Thursday’s edition of the state television show The Evening With Vladimir Soloviev, Putin’s pet pundits offered an update on plans for 2024.
“We’re trying to feel our way, figuring out the first steps. What can we do in 2023, 2024?,” Russian “Americanist” Malek Dudakov, a political scientist specializing in the U.S., said. He suggested that Russia’s interference in the upcoming elections is still in its early stages, and that more will be accomplished after the war is over and frosty relations between the U.S. and Russia start to warm up. “When things thaw out and the presidential race for 2024 is firmly on the agenda, there’ll be moments we can use,” he added. “The most banal approach I can think of is to invite Trump—before he announces he’s running for President—to some future summit in liberated Mariupol.”
Dmitry Drobnitsky, an omnipresent “Americanist” on Soloviev’s show, suggested that Tulsi Gabbard should be invited along with Trump. Dudakov agreed: “Tulsi Gabbard would also be great. Maybe Trump will take her as his vice-president?” Gabbard has recently become a fixture of state television for her pro-Russian talking points, and has even been described as a “Russian agent” by the Kremlin’s propaganda machine.

I've actually seen stickers like that on gas pumps around where I live. Wonder if it was this guy putting them on or if there's a larger group doing it. Wonder how they caught him, it's not like there are employees at Wawa or other places stationed out by the gas pumps stalking people (this isn't Jersey, no fuel pump attendants here). And were there cops right there ready to arrest a person even if they saw someone doing this?
He's probably like any other actively political person - probably has lawn signs declaring whatever it is he wants people to know he's in favor of. Seems like a lot of effort.

Umm, problem is the western legacy media has covered Ukraines neo-Nazi problem for years. It was only until recent months when people want to blatantly ignore the fact that Ukraine harbored nazis...or downplay their role. Russian narratives had nothing to do with their proven existence. And as I said multiple times, the "denazification" as a justification for the Russian invasion is bullshit.
Regarding the latter part of your post, when we get a laptop chalk full of info...or better yet an open admission of shady dealings in foreign countries like we have with the Biden crime family then sure, let's go after Don Jr and any other corrupt politicians.
