It's pretty funny watching the Alex Jones' among my FB friends going apeshit when they see the meme showing that Lysol lists "human coronavirus" on the list of indications on its label.

One of my more crazy liberals at work today went on a rant about misinformation. I agreed, there's probably tons of it. But then I mentioned how folks were saying this country couldn't have any drive-thru testing, and yet we have it... and he starting yelling "No we don't. This is all misinformation by Trump and his cronies." It was clear we weren't going to agree on what misinformation actually was.

You work with DBack? Never knew.

About 100 of them. Some are assigned female, but they're basically the same thing.

Not all landlords are financially able to forgo a months rent but not all those who can are bad people ...

I don't price in HOA, county sewer, or taxes to my tenant, so there would be no savings to pass on to them if any were suspended. They pay a predetermined fee to use my property and would be expected to per the contract they signed regardless of what the governor or local officials decide to tweak later. If they don't like it, they can rent somewhere else when their contract is up and I'll get a different tenant. Easy peasy.

Coronavirus vaccine test opens as American volunteer gets first shot

U.S. researchers gave the first shot to the first person in a test of an experimental coronavirus vaccine Monday -- leading off a worldwide hunt for protection even as the pandemic surges.

With a careful jab in a healthy volunteer's arm, scientists at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Research Institute in Seattle begin an anxiously awaited first-stage study of a potential COVID-19 vaccine developed in record time after the new virus exploded from China and fanned across the globe.

"We're team coronavirus now," Kaiser Permanente study leader Dr. Lisa Jackson said on the eve of the experiment. "Everyone wants to do what they can in this emergency."

The Associated Press observed as the study's first participant, an operations manager at a small tech company, received the injection inside an exam room. Three others were next in line for a test that will ultimately give 45 volunteers two doses, a month apart...

.....This vaccine candidate, code-named mRNA-1273, was developed by the NIH and Massachusetts-based biotechnology company Moderna Inc. There's no chance participants could get infected from the shots because they don't contain the coronavirus itself.

It's not the only potential vaccine in the pipeline. Dozens of research groups around the world are racing to create a vaccine against COVID-19. Another candidate, made by Inovio Pharmaceuticals, is expected to begin its own safety study -- in the U.S., China and South Korea -- next month.

I just saw a story on the internet news thing that clinical trials on humans for both vaccine and antiviral medication are underway. Walter Reed is working on an anti viral based on the Ebola anti viral. I think somebody posted earlier about the potential for that.

Have to agree with Romney here, and honestly this is a better plan than suspending evictions or anything like that. There's basically no threat of inflation and if we can give banks $1.5 trillion why not split a trillion among every adult in America? Also a good thing for Trump to do in an election year.

You know there's something to that. When they're doing research to see if sex is a factor in something like disease outcomes they are not going to worry about gender identity. They are going to look at biological sex.

Another silver lining is the positive (but temporary) environmental effects. Water and air quality around the world is significantly up, and we've yet to see the effects from US reductions in activity. Fish have even returned to Venice because of the lack of boats and funny enough, the virus may have saved approx. 77,000 people in China:
