No I didn't. You must've misinterpreted something I wrote. I said from the time that the Trump/Kim meeting was scheduled that the only thing that had happened is that Trump had given a North Korean leader something, a meeting with the US President, that North Korean leaders had wanted for decades and couldn't get because previous Presidents wouldn't give it to them.

And the meeting yielded no specific commitments. It yielded less than several meetings/negotiations with the North Koreans appeared to have yielded. I say "appeared" because the North Koreans then reneged. The idea that it was clear Trump had accomplished something by virtue of that meeting is absurd.

Now, if something really does happen and the North Koreans give up all their nuclear weapons we can say that something was accomplished. But now we hear that our intelligence agencies see indications that the North Koreans were playing games as they've done in the past.

Took the fam to see a Giants game in SF today (wife's birthday request). Construction is booming in the parts I drove through. Getting to AT&T I took 5th off of I-80 and bee-lined it to the parking lot (South Park/Mission Bay area). More high rises (assume condos) going up. Heard/saw some pile driving going on across the street from my tailgate lot. Leaving I went over Potrero Hill (think any cop-bad guy car chase scene from the movies) and there are all kinds of high density housing complexes (probably will top out at 3 or 4 stories) going up.

Sounds like this guy from the article just needs to find the right palms to grease.

And here I thought bribes were illegal in the U.S..

Besides pure payment in hard cash under the table, the more acceptable way is to make contractors pay for/build other infrastructure upgrades needed in the area where there project is.
