Really depends on the image - some images, like the one you shared, make it look clearly like a kiss on the cheek, other images look clearly like they got mouth to mouth contact. Makes you wonder which images are altered and which ones aren't altered. Heck, that's probably more of a story than the kiss itself (which, IMO, even if they hit mouth, I think was just a misfire - looks like an intended kiss on the cheek with bad aim). But like I said, who's altering the photos and to show what?

Because they're good friends and they aren't politicians. Regular people out in the rest of the USA actually do this quite commonly when they say hello. Like I said, the thing I find most interesting is how the same photo can look so different depending on who is sharing it.

I'm actually against depictions like this. You never see similar tropes on male politicians, or certainly nowhere in the same number. Sexism, and to some extent misogyny, is alive and well, when we reduce women politicians to simply what they wear.

If you saw any of male pols/congressman sporting purple or burgundy suits, you would see the same depictions.
