Marijuana can be ingested in many ways as it is a pain reducer and apatite enhancer for cancer and other serious diseases. Very few cancer patients "smoke" the drug and most chemo patients swear by the pills keeping them from vomiting...

At the same time, legal markets in Washington and Colorado along with loosening medical-marijuana laws around the country have together exerted enough downward pressure on street prices that Central American cartels have reportedly begun to shift production away from marijuana, toward more profitable drugs like heroin..."

Of adult cannabis users surveyed, 89 percent said they had smoked a joint in 2014. Just 30 percent said they had consumed a marijuana-infused edible, and 10 percent said they used a vaporizer.
