I've driven stoned. It's not pretty. SOOOOOO much zoning out! Coulda been dangerous if I was driving faster than 15mph, which was about the max that I could handle. Felt like I was doing 80.

I don't disagree with either of you. I don't think that pot is more dangerous than alcohol but I don't think there is definitive proof that it's less dangerous. I support legalization because it can then be regulated and taxed and resources can be focused on more dangerous drugs.

Gil's comment about "People that say it's not dangerous have not seen what I've seen" made me think of Reefer Madness and I chuckled though.
I was a passenger in a pretty bad accident, about 30 some years ago. The driver wanted to fight anyone that he saw that night. He was high on pot, and I had not seen him use anything else that night. We hit a car at a stop sign going 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Still have a scare on my lower lip where my teeth went through and a scare on my shoulder. My head cracked the windshield, so that's probably why I lived. Had to drink with a straw for a few weeks after that. The driver took off running. The police questioned me in the hospital, trying to find out where the party was. It was a night I don't like to remember. That is one of many experiences I have from a crazy youth.

I believe the dangers are equal. There is not enough evidence to say driving and smoking pot is safer than drinking and smoking pot. Same with heath affect of smoking pot. Once it is legalized, there will be more research with more people willing to admit they smoked pot. I am 100% for legalizing it, but not so closed minded to think there are not dangers or heath related issues. People that say it's not dangerous have not seen what I've seen.
You and I are in the minority here Gil.

Based on what? Is there a study showing the amount of impairment of a person who gets drunk behind the wheel versus a person who is high and behind the wheel? And at a certain point, the amount of impairment doesn't matter - there's bound to be a tipping point. I'm not sure we really know that at this point.

No need to get all grumpy right out of the gate. I just got back, and hoped to still have atleast ONE friend here. Luckly Ibanez sent me a welcome back Text. :thumb:

Come on. You haven't been to a party or out camping or..whatever you ski/snowboarders do..and roasted a bowl or hit a bong once?

@gil. I've never seen anyone try to fight someone while they are stoned. I've been smoking for going on 10 years and all my friends smoke too. Not once has anything bad happened from it. Only stupid shit I've seen people n myself do has been alcohol related.
