Is it enough to lose the womyn vote? This indeed might bring others like Gore and Biden into the race.

No doubt. But not exactly a sterling decision on her part to accept that advice, and not a great decision for someone running for an office where they will need to make 1000 decisions per day based on the advice of others.kalm wrote:I'm guessing she was told she needed one.Ibanez wrote:

Agreed, but why? What is the root cause of her needing a private server for her role as America's top diplomat? She didn't need one as a Senator or FLOTUS.kalm wrote:I'm guessing she was told she needed one.Ibanez wrote:

So some days she's the world's smartest woman
Able to take that 3am phone call
And on other days she's an effing retard who has to be led around by the hand
Somehow I don't think those two hillarys exist
Told she needed her own server? Seriously?
Careful you don't cut yourself on that sharp argument year making there
She's an entitled, brazen politician whose ability to snow people has gifted her with breathtaking hubris. Most politicians have this to a degree, but she is the gold standard
And she's going to be Madame President.

Most 47 year olds don't know whether they need a server let alone 67 year olds. I agree it's fishy, but you're giving her too much credit.CID1990 wrote:So some days she's the world's smartest woman

This whole email/server scandal only matters if she is indicted…and I will be surprised if that happens. Yeah yeah the FBI is investigating, but so what. The Clintons will cut some kind of a back room deal somewhere and this whole issue will be significantly diminished and she will still be the dem nominee.

It doesn't matter one iota whether she is tech savvy or not - she knew better because she was briefed on it when she came on board (that's a fact)
If I or any other employee at DoS had done the same thing we would already be in prison
There's no excuse - she sent and received classified (including SCI) over a private server because she wanted to avoid any congressional oversight
Like Hillary once told David Petraeus once (ironic since he was convicted of similar antics) - this whole story requires a suspension of disbelief to work

You'll have to forgive me as I haven't followed the scandal as closely as you because frankly outside of the humor of Hilary getting foiled and unlike you, I'm just not that obsessed with following every right wing conspiracy. Have they closed the trap around Benghazi and the IRS scandal yet? And what ever happened with Vince Foster and Obama's birth certificate? Those cases are still hot, right?CID1990 wrote:This is where your "I'm independent" facade slips and you give everybody a peekkalm wrote:

Your second sentence is the best explanation yet. You should have gone with that to begin with. If she was briefed on it and told it was illegal than yes, she should pay the price. Obviously someone also briefed her to do otherwise and that would be her fault for playing with fire. But my point about older people understanding how these things work still stands and you know it.
Now...back to Democratic Underground to arm myself for your next reply!

The server was set up to conceal communications from future presidential run vetters and to facilitate typical Clinton shadiness. No more, no less.
