So why wasn’t Covid a big deal in Dominican Rebublic?

While I see CH has stated most Dominicans are not healthy, this is a good point. It's called healthy vaccinee bias. Many of the observational studies conducted have troubles with this confounder.

Meaning that studies usually try to match participants as best they can. One vaccinated, the other unvaccinated. You try to get as close to an apples to apples comparison, but it's well known that people who typically get vaccines are more proactive in their health and thus it is this bias they have difficulty parsing.

Was the spike protein from the vaccine supposed to still be in the body over 700 days later? Don't think so! The folks in this study all had lab work done to show they had not caught Covid, so it was from the vaccine.

Dr. Iwasaki’s group began the study, which is called LISTEN, in 2022, to examine people with self-reported post-Covid injuries. They then expanded it to include people with self-reported vaccine injuries. About 3,000 people have enrolled, according to an article about the project in January.
