The man pictured to the left of the president is the baby’s uncle, who told the El Paso Times that his brother was “a big Trump supporter,” and that the uncle wanted Trump “to know our family stands with the president.” For that reason, the baby, who had been discharged earlier according to hospital officials, was returned for the president’s visit and captured in the photo.

I for sure have spent time around two. One, a former boss who stole $50k from the business, the other a customer. They can turn on the charm and get off on lying and manipulating people who are easy to control and/or gullible. They also have a truly remarkable dark side that will show a little around potential challengers and people who see through their bull shit. Obviously mass shootings wouldn’t happen if nobody had access to automatic weapons - but that horse has left the barn, and arguing about “common sense” gun control is the same as arguing that a 40 foot wall is the cure for what ails us

There are questions that aren’t being asked here because everybody already has divided into their camps and they have all the answers

Questions like - why are there so many more mass shootings today than there were 40-60 years ago? There are numerous factors ....

my personal belief is that social media makes sociopaths of us all to certain degrees- some more than others. Then we have the mainstreaming of mentally ill people since the 60s-70s. Population centers are a factor - as we increasingly live on top of each other there will be more berserkers. And then there is the innate tribalism of humans. No need to be so reactionary - just move all semi-auto weapons capable of holding a magazine with more than 5 rounds into the same BATF category as machine guns. Comply with the BATF rules or sell the weapon to the feds.
