He's a good man and his family are good people. Salt-of-the-earth type of rednecks that would give you the shirt off their back. His little brother is a Deputy Sheriff whose wedding present to my daughter was a sweet little SS .38 Special. Its going to be a fun family.
Gotdamn right!

Where is this BRILLIANT young woman and her BIL in NC?

Teaches ESL in Charlotte right now. They love western NC and spend time up the New River near Sparta. My sister has an old Army buddy from that area and she and her husband have been very welcoming. The only downside is that it isn't the best place to be a teacher.

Well then

Two things:

Have that excellent brother in law who has his head screwed on correctly teach her to keep that .38 in her britches back pocket and yank it out like a boss

And we’ll have to meet up for a whisky on the porch in Boone sometime. It’s a short road trip for you when you visit her

CID, I need you to weigh in on the asylum rules again.
I could swear that you said (somewhere on this board) that people from Honduras (or another SA country) that fled to Mexico can't seek asylum in the US because they are no longer being persecuted in Honduras......or something like that.

Why can't we just stop them at the border and tell them to turn around?

And why the hell are we letting Mexico get away with not sealing their southern border?

In THEORY if you are truly being persecuted over any of the accepted reasons, you would apply for asylum in the first place you set foot where that persecution ends

So if you walk through Mexico from Guatemala, you should ask Mexico for asylum

However, we entertain asylum requests from anybody, no matter where they come from... as do most of the rest of us anarchic, imperialistic traditionally evil white people countries.. like Europe

But it plays heavily with most judges who decide these matters - if you are truly in fear for your life or well being, it doesn’t help your case that you walked from El Salvador through Guatemala and Mexico just to request asylum in the US. It makes you look like an economic migrant, which is not grounds for a favorable asylum request.

Short answer: we don’t turn down asylum applications but if the US isn’t your first stop after leaving your home country your chances (rightly) go way down

Love to have a sip! Thank you for the invitation, if you're ever in the country while I'm visiting NC I will bring some whisky, or bourbon, and take you up on that. :thumb:

He's a good guy, think he was an MP too in Afghanistan. He's exactly who I would want her to learn to shoot from - lots of practice time on the range, with both hands. A serious shooter whom I'd trust to be armed in public. He brought a little Glock too and we shot up some cardboard. I still can't hit shit with a pistol. :ohno:

There was something on the news within the past few days about that - apparently we are giving Mexico monies to do just that.

On the issue of separating children from parents America has always been great!

Turning your kid over to some cartel coyote is nothing compared to not putting them in a car seat (and having some busybody cunt hall monitor call the cops on you)

That's great. Anybody who would associate themselves with Trump SHOULD be ostracized and marginalized. People who would support that atrocity to be President of the United States and even more so WORK for that atrocity should constantly be told in no uncertain terms that their behavior is NOT acceptable.

You really should seek counseling. Plenty of Trump supporters are comfortable in their own skin and lead normal lives. It’s only in dealing with irrational liberals like you that they run into some difficulty.

I don't care if they are comfortable in their own skin. They are not good for this country and support for Trump is unacceptable. They SHOULD be rejected and marginalized. We've done that with people before. For example: "Racist." "Trump Supporter" should end up in the same place. The culture should make it very clear that being a Trump supporter is unacceptable.
