Re: **** North Carolina Republicans
I've been meaning to say that my problem with what's going on with this issue is not letting sick men who think they can will and/or mutilate themselves into being women into womens' rooms. It's that it's yet another example of the Judiciary Branch inventing Law. It hasn't gone through the entire process of doing that yet. But it almost certainly will.
Years ago elected representatives of the People crafted language to ban discrimination based on sex. We all know that they did not construe "sex" to mean as determined by how someone "identifies." They meant biological sex. I think we would all think that, had someone tried to put "gender identity" in the language back when the language was adopted Congress would not have done that.
Now we have an officer of the Executive Branch inventing a new "interpretation" of "sex" in order to change effectively change the law to require something it does not really require. The Executive Branch will go to the Judiciary to have its "interpretation" established as "law."
This thing we've come to accept whereby the law can be changed without having to go through the process of legislation by elected representatives, in my opinion, nixes Government by the People entirely. It's government by oligarchy. Drives me crazy that people tolerate it and don't rise up to demand that it stop.

"NYC Mayor de Blasio to fine businesses that fail to use correct gender pronouns
Greeting customers as “Mr.” or “Mrs.” could be costly for New York City businesses under Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The Gotham mayor’s Commission on Human Rights says businesses that fail to address customers by their preferred gender pronouns are in violation of the law and could be subject to penalties.
The Commission issued a “legal enforcement guidance” for the New York City Human Rights Law, which apparently “requires employers and converted entities to use an individual’s preferred name, pronoun and title (e.g., Ms./Mrs.) regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth, anatomy, gender, medical history, appearance, or the sex indicated on the individual’s identification.”
The guidance also notes that some people prefer non-gender-binary pronouns, including “they/them/theirs or ze/hir.”......"

"Shopper Upset Man Allowed To Use Women’s Dressing Room In Ross
MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) – A Forney woman says a Ross department store in Mesquite let a man into the women’s dressing room Monday.
“I was in the dressing room, when we heard a man’s voice,” said Lisa Stickles, who says she quickly told a manager.
“She went inside the dressing room, came right back out and called me to the side and told me… he was representing himself as a woman today,” Stickles said.
A customer service representative with Ross would not comment on the alleged incident but said they do not discriminate against the transgender community; adding, customers may use changing rooms that apply to their gender identity.
“What about me? Or my feelings?” said Sickles. “(The manager) told me that if I felt uncomfortable in the dressing room with him there… I’d have to wait until he’s finished.”
Sickles said she waited, and was shocked when she watched the man walk out.
“He was in no way dressed as a woman,” Sickles said. “He had on jeans, a t-shirt, 5 o’clock shadow, very deep voice. He was a man.”
Other large retailers across North Texas have varying policies on transgender customers who want to use the restrooms or changing rooms.
Target, TJ Maxx and Marshalls allow customers to decide based on gender identity, according to customer service.
Representatives from Kohl’s say their store require customers to use facilities aligned with their biological gender.
Walmart had no specific policy, according to customer service.
None of the companies would discuss how they train their employees to handle customers who claim to be transgender."

So if a guy who sounds like a guy, looks like a guy, dresses like a guy, wants to use the women's bathrooms/locker rooms/changing rooms on any particular days he identifies as a woman, that's cool..

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatry Manual, transgenderism, or gender dysphoria (the clinical term) is a mental illness.

"Judge Temporarily Blocks Obama Administration’s Transgender Bathroom Rules
Decision affects school nationwide just as many students return from summer vacations
DALLAS—A federal judge in Texas has temporarily blocked the Obama administration’s directive allowing transgender public school students to use the bathroom of their choice, siding with Texas and a coalition of 12 other states that filed a lawsuit over the issue.
In a ruling issued late Sunday, U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor said that administration failed to take proper steps in crafting the recent guidelines, which say schools should let students use the bathroom of their chosen gender identity.
Judge O’Connor said that because the guidelines were in effect legally binding regulations, the Department of Education should have held a formal process allowing those impacted—in this case, states and school districts—to publicly comment on them.
“The Guidelines are, in practice, legislative rules—not just interpretations or policy statements because they set clear legal standards,” Judge O’Connor wrote. “Although Defendants have characterized the Guidelines as interpretive… their actual legal effect prove that they are ‘compulsory in nature.’”.....
....The judge also said in his ruling that the guidelines appeared to conflict with existing federal education regulations passed in the 1970s that referred to an individual’s sex.
“It cannot be disputed that the plain meaning of the term sex... meant the biological and anatomical differences between male and female students as determined at their birth,” he wrote, referring to the intent of the regulations......."

Fuck North Carolina Republicans
I was driving through the barrio section of South CLT and realized that all the Latinos drive in the left lane. Super slow while the right lane is pretty clear with only a few cars and busses. Wtf? Get with it!! And apparently, all fire truck with its lights and sirens in behind them means nothing.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17
