The difference is all Republican Presidents are SUPPOSED to be stupid. BHO is a certified intellectual, transcendent...almost a deity.
On a separate note, this only adds fuel to the fire that BHO doesn't know a thing about the military and thus has to copy that retard Bush on almost everything.

I doubt a mispronuciation translate into military ignorance.

If I remember correctly, didn't you work for the military, as a contractor, at one point? How many people did you hear calling troops Corpesmen?

I'm no fan of BO, but this really isn't a big deal. I bet everyone here has a term often used in their profession that someone else would mispronounce.

Mispronunciation vs blatant misuse/misinterpretation of a word are totally different things.

I disagree. It shows a lack of critical thinking. I remember seeing the word picturesque for the first time. I thought it was picture-skew until I said it for the first time. I immediately knew it was a mistake and figured out what the correct pronunciation was.
You're telling me Obama really thought a rank in military was Corpesman? How many times has he ever heard that term? He's the Commander in Chief.

You're a scientist correct? How many times do you hear scientist flub the pronunciation of scientific terms? They're scientist for christ sake, they haven't heard these words before?

Well you prove my point while pointing the finger at BO. There is not a military rank of corpsman.

I WISH I was a scientist. I didn't have the dedication and drive you PhD types do.
I understand what you are saying as I did know many that couldn't handle nomenclature.
And YES Bandl, I am making a big deal out of nothing, I know that. I just assumed the Commander in Chief, who rides in Marine One, would have heard the Naval term Corpsman and been able to figure it out before he repeated the same mistake twice.
We don't refer to it as the Marine Corpse.

I know that, and point taken. I understand it is an MOS.
who the fuck doesn't know how to pronounce the word corps? I could give two cold turds about his military expertise. I'm just shocked that a dude that went to an Ivy can't read the word corps correctly off a screen. On my worst day I've never misread as simple a word as that. Jesus fucking christ.

Dear lord... please allow this dangerous combination of hair spary, bat slobber, and D.O.T. four automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body, provoking me to kick any man or woman in the back of the head regardless of what he or she has or has not done unto me. All my Best, Earlie Cuyler.

You are making way too big a deal out of this. There are far bigger things to worry about than Obama's mispronunciation of the word corpsman.
I guess you were okay with Bush using the term 'nucular' for 8 years. He was the Commander in Chief and he couldn't even pronounce the name of the deadliest weapons at his disposal.
If you are going to argune that Obama doesn't know the military because he mispronounced a word, then you have to agree that Bush didn't know his weapons since he had the same problem.
Unlike Bush, I doubt if Obama will continue to make thie same mistake for the next 7 years.

I hear more vets calling Marines, soldiers..which is a slap in the face to some.
I would correct anyone who incorrectly called me a soldier. I would hope anyone in the Army would correct anyone that called them a Marine.
Also, the "M" in Marine isn't supposed to be capitalized, but I do it anyway. If you don't like it, go plug yourself.

Is it ok to say that you're one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children?
I didn't see any teleprompter the day when BHO responded to questions from the R's for an hour and a half. GWB would have been a blathering idiot in such an arena.
