But you didn't prove the correlation between "white trash" and the uneducated. While it's clear from the stats you provided that Obama got a higher percentage of the uneducated vote, we don't know what percentage of the uneducated are white, or trash. For example, if the uneducated who voted for Obama are hispanic or black then they aren't white trash.

As to your statement about the less educated having a "higher chance" of being white trash...perhaps you're correct. But, I'll point out that I've met and seen quite a few "well educated" white trash specimens. (i.e. John Edwards)

But how do you define "white trash?" What do you mean by that? I think it conjures up images of lower economic classes. If so, I would say that "white trash" probably tend to vote majority Democrat and probably voted majority Obama in 2008.

There is a "vote by race and income" breakdown in the exit polling estimates at http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/re ... s/#USP00p1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but it doesn't really allow you to get to the "white trash" question because it just breaks it down into two groups: Under $50,000 and over $50,000. I'd be very willing to bet, based on other income breakdowns you can see on that page, that Whites in the $30,000 or less range voted majority Obama.

Bottom line is that it looks very likely in looking at exit polling that the poorest, least educated whites voted majority Obama. And I'd add that it looks like that group has typically voted Democrat as well in the past.

I don't think of White Trash as simply a poor white person. When I say "white trash" I'm usually referring to a racist, homophobic piece of shit that sits in his trailer drinking shitty beer all day, beats his wife, beats and likely molests his children, and is a generally worthless fuck.

There are plenty of rural, lower income white folks that are amazing people and are nowhere close to being white trash.
