Hide for a few days after world wide headlines reveal the utter failure of said conk actions (War, Capitalism, Palin, Environmental Disaster, Homosexual/Pedophile Sex Scandals) until the conk spin machine (Rush, Cheney) can come with someone (Obama) or something (Socialism) else to blame their shortsightedness or just plain sheer stupidity on.
