Did you know that Evian spelled backwards in French says Potomac?
No, but I do remember when George Carlin first did that joke.

The gaskets get old and rot. You can usually replace them with standard sized rubber gaskets from Home Depot or a local hardware store. They're usually around 15 cents each. A cheap fix.
I did not know that. Looks like I have a project for this week then. Thanks.

Would the ring from a garden hose work just as well? I've got some of those laying around.
Yes, same gaskets.

Then that has been recycled and re-used by others.

Just make sure its the right size. You'll know right away though because it will spray everywhere if its not the right gasket.

I do get it. You always complain about big business...always. You fight the reality of economics. I profit from it. :thumb:

Money rules. Always has, always will. Economists blather on about their supply/demand theories when reality is hitting them square in the face. It is all a farce. Real demand can be ignored anytime - and demand can be created out of nothing - and there is nothing a clown economist and his theories of what should be can do about it. Only when money wants to get involved do things happen. Economists are not accurate predicters of what will happen...they are useless Monday morning QBs. Your dog got some things right...anyone would...but he missed so much it was pathetic.

So what?

We've been arguing different points all along. I'm arguing the big picture and what creates a healthy, sustainable, real economy.

For example, the abundance of "money" during the housing bubble created a demand. But that demand wasn't neccessarily healthy for the economy was it?

Mmmmm. I love the taste of warm rust in the morning.
You never made your field expedient water cooler?
1) Saturate canteen cover till it dripping wet
2) Place canteen in said cover
3) Hang canteen where dripping water will not cause problem and where there is some semblense of a breeze (the warmer the better)
4) Let canteen cover dry though evaporation. When canteen is removed you will find water significantly colder that ambient temperature.

That sounds great in theory, but we had to drink far too much water in the desert for that to be feasible. Our best relief was requesting a CH-53 to drop off a large bucket(s) of ice, which they were usually happy to oblige.

As their population expanded in relation to their resources, they would have faced the same issues as everyone else. So, kalm is in favor of eliminating a whole host of people in order to gain a temporarily sustainable economy. What shall it be...deportation? Send people off to war to get killed? Gas chambers for the lower class? :o

Yes Ms. Rand, empires do crumble when they become unsustainable. :coffee:
