Told he wasn't going to touch anything "private" and so on. Very professional and he checked every inch of me without touching sensitive areas. I have no problem with a person being kicked out of the airport and/or not allowed to board a plane, if they refuse to undergo security screenings. And I don't have a problem if under those circumstances, their ticket costs are forfeit and not refunded.

However the whole $10,000+ lawsuit for leaving the screening area is what bothers me.

Not the point, Jon, and you and the rest know it.

Profiling will not catch EVERY bad guy. NO strategy will.

However, if I profile at my line, and YOU do a purely random search (nuns, old ladies, etc) then I will catch 99% of the bad guys while you will catch less than 50%. Profiling is a very high percentage strategy. The Israelis have been doing it for YEARS.

El Al is one of the safest airlines in the world today, and it isn't because they try to play it "fair" towards the Muslims in the airport. Al Qaeda might well recruit white Eurpoeans for terrorist operations, but we will not catch them by randomly searching people. We will catch them because intelligence services will generally be able to detect Muslim Arabs operating outside of their own ethnic circles.

I love how your opposition to profiling is to speculate on something that is not currently happening in significant numbers (and some trailer trash chick from Florida isn't significant numbers).
