Romney could do the job. He is not a demonizer and his hair is not on fire as a conservative. It will be extremely difficult for him to get the Republican nomination, but in Massachusetts he governed as a principled centrist.

I think we get sold a bill-of-goods far too often in our political system and indeed Obama was just that - a laundry list of "coulda shoulda woulda" is about all we're going to be left with after he leaves (based on his last two years)

The other funny thing about Obama is that he enacted the largest tax cuts in U.S. history and though he grew the deficit while inheriting Bush's economy in 2009, it has shrunk for 2010.
