Yeah, and you would have been the first malcontent here to accuse Obama of fastracking before the new crop of clowns arrive.

That's not my point. Being more than halfway through a fiscal year WITHOUT an operating budget is a fucking joke. As pointed out earlier, the donks didn't have the balls to pass this bloated POS before elections or we'd be looking at Republican supermajorities in both houses and One-Term Barry would have been up shit creek without a paddle.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:since when has that ever stopped them?AZGrizFan wrote:

The sticking points? Planned Parenthood and EPA.

Nothing at all to do with money, this has turned into the teabaggers trying to make a social statement, and has less than nothing to do with the $$$$.

Here's a newsflash for you, Myron: 90% of the BUDGET is a SOCIAL STATEMENT. It's almost impossible to cut funding to something without making it a "social" statement.OSBF wrote:We've been getting some interesting e-mail chatter today as well.

So, stick to your "teabaggers are evil" mantra....it only makes your incessant bleating look even more stupid (which, I know, seems impossible).

I don't identify with them. YOU identify ME with them, which only proves how ignorant you really are.OSBF wrote:I'm not sure they're necessarily "evil" persay, but are incredibly stupid.AZGrizFan wrote:

The Federal fiscal year ends on September 30th of every year meaning that there needs to be a budget in place starting the next fiscal year on October 1st. The ONLY reason it wasn't tackled is because Obama's proposed budget was an exploding bomb of federal spending and the Donks were scared shitless to finalize a budget with that much spending so close to the election.
That alone is nothing short of pure cowardice.
Believe me, the Tea Partiers would have LOVED for the Donks to pass that budget because there is very little doubt the Conks would have easily controlled BOTH houses of Congress if it did.

I've been doing the contracting gig for ten years now, all eight Bush budgets and two Obama budgets, and lack of a budget on Oct 1 has been the rule, not the exception. I can't recall the last Oct 1st where we didn't start under a continuing resolution. Just FYI.Baldy wrote:The Federal fiscal year ends on September 30th of every year meaning that there needs to be a budget in place starting the next fiscal year on October 1st. That's just another symptom of a bigger problem. Budgets are never correct to begin with. Why not just pass something close and tweak it as things change?93henfan wrote:I've been doing the contracting gig for ten years now, all eight Bush budgets and two Obama budgets, and lack of a budget on Oct 1 has been the rule, not the exception. Yep. The donks controlled both houses and the White House up till the 3rd week of January. The bill should have be passed in Sept. They had all of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, and 2/3 of Jan to pass a budget bill and they failed to do so. And in Jan the Republicans only took over the House. And the House is the only body to have passed the 2011 budget bill, which they did back in Feb, where the Republicans compromised down to 61 billion in cuts, down from 100 billion in cuts promised during the campaign. Thats less than 2% of a 3.6 trillion budget. And the spend happy donks aren't even willing to go along with those miniscule cuts, so the Republicans have said they are willing to go below 40 billion in cuts, and the donks still aren't willing to go along, so f*ck em, shut er down.AZGrizFan wrote:That's not my point.
