A good speech...

eh...it was good...said what needed to be said...but not the "return to Camelot" that I think many of the elitist left had been touting...when he began talking about introspective views of we as Americans and the need to find our inspiration within those traits...I think it got pretty cliche'd and didn't really underline his message...

...someone said the speech was "penned" by a young speechwriter (27 yrs old)...so any "transgressions" can be explained...though this was Obama's "cornerstone" speech...think it needed more key "marching orders" clarity.

And thus the "good" rating...it was not a speech that will get the "troops" motivated...it did not set out any definative marks...

It was good...his delivery, as usual, was very good...

Kinda what I was thinking. I actually did hope he "knocked it out of the park", as it would become the mission statement and provide focus for congress and even regional and local governments to "bring" everyone together on the same page: That requires a clearly stated goal.
