Rasmussen is out of touch. There is no 17% undecided, everybody made up their mind a long time ago, in 2000.

Rasmussen's final poll results are usually very accurate. But there are complaints that Rasmussen's preliminary polls are inaccurate and tend to favor Republicans. Since there is no vote to correspond with a preliminary poll there is no way to prove him right or wrong.

Kinda funny how you Dems love to dismiss Rasmussen, but as of today, it's one of only two polls in the Real Clear Politics average (one that you Dems love) that has Obama ahead. What say you now?

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... -1171.html

RCP Average Romney +1.1
FOX News Romney +1
Rasmussen Tracking Obama +1
IBD/TIPP Tracking Romney +5
Gallup Tracking Tie
Pew Research Romney +4
WashTimes/JZ Analytics* Tie
Politico/GWU/Battleground Obama +1

I gave Romney no shot at this thing and if I had to wager my own money I'd still say the incumbent wins, but you Donks have to be starting to sweat.

I think we are going to see Romney win the popular vote but lose the election.

I could see that happening as well. I wonder if all the Democrat groups that started pushing the popular vote initiative after Algore will change their tune if it happens.

At this point, All Romney has to do is pull down Ohio. Florida, North Carolina and Virginia are Romney locks. Obama be in some deep shit.

I thought the last poll had Obama up by 5-7% in Florida?

I think the lesson from these polls is that the more Romney sounds like Obama, and the less like the self-derscribed "severe conservative", the bigger his popularity. Does it translate to votes? Doubtful; maybe a few white male moderates.

RCP has all of these as toss-up states:

Colorado (9)
Florida (29)
Iowa (6)
Michigan (16)
Missouri (10)
Nevada (6)
New Hampshire (4)
North Carolina (15)
Ohio (18)
Pennsylvania (20)
Virginia (13)
Wisconsin (10)

BTW, I'm not sure what this says, but I read that Obama leads in the early voting in Ohio by a 2 to 1 margin. Since he's surely not going to win 66-33, what does that say about Dem voters?

1. They're panicked
2. They hope that by voting early they can sway others
3. They hope that by voting early they might get to vote again

Anyone who thinks Missouri is a toss-up state is an idiot. Even Dem polls have Florida as a tie.

Ryan hasn't participated in a formal debate since high school. Biden has severe foot-in-mouth syndrome, but if he can keep that under control, this won't be close.
