That's my point. Other cultures in the world generally tend to be much more racist than people from Western countries. From what I've read, there's a fairly deep-seeded distrust of black people in other cultures, especially in East Asia, Latin-America, and some Eastern European countries.

The dynamics of race are much more magnified at the global level where most of the world isn't a melting-pot like the US. I don't think the majority of Catholics would have an issue with it here in the states.
