Hell, I don't know if this would work or not....I'm not in finance. And it sounds like to simple and obvious of a possible solution. owever, I would appreciate someone who is privy to financial systems to explain why it wouldn't work. The chief complaint I hear is that there is not enough cash in the credit markets due to insolvent and bad loans. So, if you gave money back to the taxpayers and required them to pay towards outstanding debt so that capitol is back in the market and loans become solvent.....I don't know, there's got to be a reason this WOULDN'T work, but I'm just ignorant to how financial systems workd outside of don't spend more than you make....
It wouldn't work because it's a temporary solution. People would still be out of work.

This economic disaster, as bad as it is, is a blessing in disguise. It's part market correction and part cultural and political correction. Our consumer-based economy was a house of cards. No one saved any money, business became lazy and too many took risks and our government was asleep at the wheel.
A temporary solution relative to the bank bailout currently being used? I realize we need job creation, but I was referring more to the TARP funds as well as future money being poured down that drain.....

Per Letterman: Democrats don't cheat on their taxes. Democrats cheat on their wives.
