you've earned a bazillion credits
very likely 10 to 12 of those can be used towards your Masters Degree
(unless you were poorly advised during your 4 years)

Done - you're 40% there

Then when you're done putzing around with that horseshit Masters crap
If you've saved you papers (and you've likely written dozens of papers equaling hundreds of pages)
You hire an editor to assemble your work
(you're already 1/2 way done with your Doctorate thesis and you haven't even started your program yet)

By the time you're one year into your doctorate you begin (in earnest) writing your book
of which has already half been written
NOTE:
Getting kicked out of college for conduct unbecoming of a student
which are contrary to the Division of Student Affairs Ethos Statement (if I remember correctly)
slows the doctorate process down dramatically

But anywho... I digress
In two years with classes and some field work (TA-DA!) you're a PhD

Most Masters Programs are between 10-12 courses. Thats 30-36 Hours.

The Italian knows that chick Jenna - When Jenna was doing her masters program at Boston University the Italian was doing the Federal Reserve University circuit (Bentley Tufts B.U. Harvard & Wellesley College)
as some kind of guest speaker

Anyway the Italian and this Jenna girl become friends (somehow / not sure how)
