That's comical. I'd LOVE to see a legitimate source for that number. The COMBINED Defense budget requests from 1995-2009 TOTALLED $5.6 Trillion. That doesn't include $$ spend on the war effort. So, I'd love to see how they arrived at the $8.5 trillion dollars "lost" from a source that's not the equivalent of moveon.org.

That means that the $8.5 trillion in taxpayer money doled out by Congress to the Pentagon since 1996, the first year it was supposed to be audited, has never been accounted for. That sum exceeds the value of China’s economic output last year.
