I'll be back there again in September

The people are amazing
I used to fly Iceland air all the time when I was doing every august in Glasgow Scotland. They give you a three day layover in Reykjavik on one ticjet- that's smart, really-

The hands down most beautiful woman I have ever seen was an Iceland Air flight attendant. If she had offered to show me around I would have changed my ticket and blown off my first 3 days in Glasgow.

Icelandic beer is absolute crappie though
Yup...
That's precisely what I'm doing
I work in Glasgow 5 weeks a year now
and lay over in Reykjavik for the weekend when I can

it's a BLAST...!!!

Yeah, cocktails averaged $22 each for us in Reykjavik.

Other than the dried cod and the rotten shark, I thought the food there was pretty fantastic. One of the chicks we traveled with hates seafood, but she absolutely loved every seafood dish we had there.

Oh, and the one 'restaurant' on the island of Grimsley was pretty awful.

Other than that, I really did love the food there.

Klam,

Let me rephrase so you can take a stab at understanding.

Iceland's economy is a lot like West Virginia's - it ebbs and flows with the current that it is in, and the current is the EU and the US

They make some good decisions, and prosecuting bankers over financial shenanigans is fine

But at the end of the day, the health of the Icelandic economy is largely controlled by forces outside of Iceland - not bailing out Icelandic banks is like not bailing out the Bank of Wheeling

I was fully aware of it, in fact chuckled a little at the dichotomy and posted anyway. I'm not anti-corporatism or capitalism, I'm anti-corruption and monopoly. I'm open minded enough to consider all the complexities.

Aka liberal kalmunism.

It's all taste and honestly I can't even tell if it's the same song but if it is I like the Icelandic chick's version better.

It's nice to see bankers prosecuted even if the poor fellows were just victims of circumstances. :coffee:

Like I said it's all taste. Like to me it's not even just the singers. I like the whole arrangement better in the Icelandic version. But I do like the Icelandic singer better too.

But there is no objective right or wrong with stuff like this. It's not like sprinter A is faster than sprinter B or powerlifter A can clean jerk more than powerlifter B.
