I called his office to complain. At the end of the call, the secretary thanked me for being polite - said I was the first caller that didn't raise my voice or use any cusswords

It was a mixed group. Fun that the City Councilman is head of a group of radio stations that broadcast in Spanish, but can't speak the language, so has no idea what is going on.

Not true. I may disagree with a lot of folks but definitely some more than others. I'm far more towards the center than a lot of other conservatives on the board. I'm still not in the middle and that doesn't make me right, but it does make me less extreme. Who here votes straight ballot? I think that's irrational.
