Not yet. It's 2 new cars for every 1 job change. He has only 1 new car since his last job change. Stay tuned.ASUG8 wrote:Dear lord, not ANOTHER job change.......93henfan wrote:

No worries. It's hard to keep up with.ASUG8 wrote:Sorry, I lost count.CAA Flagship wrote: Not yet. It's 2 new cars for every 1 job change. He has only 1 new car since his last job change. Stay tuned.
Here's the complete equivalency table:
1 job change = 2 new cars = 5000 CS.com posts = 400 Starbucks/Wawa coffees = 4000 rounds of ammo

The 5+ year positions were all outside of DC, while the ones listed in months were all DC area. Rapid mobility is not only accepted but expected in this field and area. I try to give every job at least a year now before I go somewhere else to do the same thing for more money and/or telework. I'll be breaking the recent trend in my current gig methinks, because I'm nearing the top of the GS pay scale, and the people are really good (i.e. no uppities) at this particular office.

You're lucky you're in the field you are....in many fields, someone sees that and that resume goes right into the trash. Especially at your advanced age.93henfan wrote:

Sounds like Blue Force Tracker93henfan wrote:The Marine Direct Air Support Center (DASC), which I was the OIC for when I was in, went to a new modular setup very similar to that but on a smaller scale around 1998. Ours ran off two generators and two comms HMMWVs. We had contractors observing and assisting us with everything for about a year until we were ready to run with it by ourselves. It paid serious dividends in the 03 Iraq invasion, as the DASC forward and DASC main could quickly leapfrog with the Regimental COC.
I have no idea what all that shit cost, and I didn't care because I wasn't a civilian contracting weenie then. All I know is that it worked. I forget the name of the computer system they also stood up at the same time, but it was awesome, showing friend/foe unit positions and strengths in near real-time. Saved a ton of grease pencil mapping and lag time in updating.
