**** anyone that brings produce to the self-checkout at the grocery store.
Not me. I'm buying produce virtually every time I'm buying groceries (a couple of times a week). Most of the produce I buy I'm buying all the time. For the same 10 or so different things that I've bought hundreds of times I just punch in the 4 digit # off the top of my head..

That being said, self checkout at WalMart (pretty much the only place to shop in my town - they put everyone else out of business) is still the way to go. They have over 20 regular checkout lanes and never more than 6 are open for checkout and the lines are at least 2-3 customers deep with pretty big carts. Conversely, there are 8 self ckeckout stations and the worst line I've seen is about 5 people for eight spots. The math is obvious that self checkout is the best option.
Yep, I almost always do self checkout if they are avail, Walmart or regular grocery store. There will be the rare occasion that self checkout has a line and a regular checkout has a shorter line or no line. If both have no line I'm going self checkout every time.

The best place I've been to with self check-out is Sam's Club. Don't even have to take anything out of your cart, can just use the hand scanner. My son likes to go to Sam's club with me and then put everything in the cart in such a way that all the UPC codes are face up so he can scan them himself.

Yes, that's right, my 6-year old son has absolutely no problem using a self check-out station.
So he's prepared for his future career as the observer of the self checkouts at Walmart. Congratulations!

Yes he said it but I fully agree. Just yesterday I was complaining to my wife about our local grocery store removing their self checkout lanes.
Self checkout lanes are pointless if you are not seeing a savings (you're not btw). I only use them if there is a line and I have more then a couple items. I never use them at places like Home Depot and big box retailers.

 To this Amazon idea...now if Costco can get on the ball and get this going...
I always use them. I can normally get through it quicker than going to the high schooler. Though, self checkout, IMO, isn't for a full cart or 2 of groceries. The Harris Teeters around here don't have a limit and I want to murder the person buying a months worth of food. Self checkout is intended for those that are only purchasing a handful of items, so they don't have to wait while Maud buys 40 cases of Pepsi. :twocents:

Fuck anyone that brings produce to the self-checkout at the grocery store.
Most of the people around here are pretty educated so I rarely see this problem. Could be where you live. :coffee:

Vidav's rule of thumb of not speaking to anyone applies even more so at Walmart.
What do you have against young Asian women? That's who is working checkout at the Walmart near me.

Amazon is gonna open that grocery store with no checkout..
I think in Seattle?

Then as you walk out the front of the store with your groceries you'll get run over by Chitstain in his google car.

Chizzy doesn't wear the funny underwear. He just irons and starches his regular underwear.
