I'd rather hand the nuclear codes to Pence. That's the key question in my mind when you talk about sanity, Dr. Strangelove.

No way. That slimy fvck is a true believer. :ohno:

No.

Trump is just here to line his pockets and grab some pussy. Pence is a whole different kind of psychopath.
I kinda feel the same way...
Trump is relatively transparent in his own con-man kinda way
and in some respects I really think he means well while also enriching himself in the process

Where as Pence seems no different than a Islamic imam
who will use government to fulfill his fundamentalist ideals
with an array of bad ideas founded in willful ignorance and self righteousness

:ohno:

Go Patriots !!!

Oh the horrors!

Gives corporations the largest tax break in history and also gave individual citizens the largest tax break in history. It was only the 2nd tax cut in Indiana state history..to go along with Indiana's 2+ billion budget surplus under Pence and highest in the nation state credit rating.

Provides zero state funding for homeless shelters. While technically true, neglect to mention that:
"..So Pence has not requested funding homeless shelters, but it’s worth noting that’s far from unique in Indiana. The state budget ultimately is the work product of the Legislature, not the governor. And the lack of state funding has been consistent under Republican and Democratic leadership. (Indiana had Democratic governors from 1989-2005, before electing Republican Mitch Daniels and then Pence.)

Michael Stoops, director of community organizing with the advocacy group National Coalition for the Homeless, told PunditFact that Indiana follows the pattern of many rural and southern states.

"They are getting federal homeless dollars and passing them through to the cities and counties," Stoops said. "They don’t spend any of their own money.".."

Every dime government spends is "forced income redistribution."

We consent to it (albeit in some instances begrudgingly) and have the ability to change it through the democratic process.
Huh? :suspicious:

I'll give you a hint: Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return

https://www.irs.gov/uac/about-form-1040

Individuals are taxed.

Are you saying an individual can simply tell the government that he doesn't want to be taxed? Could Pence do that? Could Jesus do that?

When Jesus asked people to give and be generous, did he then tell everyone, "Yeah...that means, YOU, you fvck. If you don't like it, vote for another son of God or get the hell out of here. Your choice."

You can't win this one, kalm...no matter how hard you try. You can't compare the whims of Jesus to the actions of a government.
Huh? is right...

You're seriously scrambling here. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of right wing political christian philosophy when contrasted to the teachings of Jesus. And I did it using the indisputable fact supporting of a meme (please note the sarcasm there). I thought I might pick up a BDK with that but I underestimated your man crush for Trumpence. :ohno:

The knee jerk defense of Jesus as a libertarian supply-sider always gives me a chuckle. God wants you to be a charitable, love thy neighbor, liberal hippie, but only you. God apparently never considered the rise of a political system where a people could decide together to create a society that takes care of it's own. That would be collectivism...which leads to socialism...which we all know is godless!

Bottom line...Jesus was a big fan of secular government!

Who will you root for in Wall Street and Big Banks v. Drumpf?
The lawyers!

I just read a piece on FB from Robert Reich who was having dinner with a former (R) congressman. It basically boiled down to the fact that the Republicans all think Trump is insane, will use him to get their agenda passed, then impeach him in favor of their guy, Pence. And then Trump gets the blame for the policies.

The theories that Trump won't finish the term are starting to make a little sense.

What's the over/under?
That is a beautiful thought that sends my heart soaring on the wings of eagles... :notworthy:

Carving up us fat bloated carcass and passing it around...

As a member of what some call a "mainline Protestant" denomination, I agree that Jesus was, at heart, a Socialist. But he didn't rely on the Roman/establishment Jewish guvmint to do it for him. He asked the people to help the less fortunate. Nowhere in the Four Gospels is Christ quoted as asking Pilate to impose confiscatory taxes!

I don't care for Pence at all, but nice try.

And your attempt to politicize God is Hillaryous!!!

The whole point of getting into Heaven is to make individual choices to follow God's way. America doesn't get into Heaven as a whole...border lines and all...and people don't get credit at the Heavenly Gate because they voted in someone to do their charity work for them.

"Hey, look! I voted for other people's taxes to help people. Aren't I just like Jesus?!?! And those who don't create and support a system that forces redistribution of resources are evil!!" :dunce:

You probably think that God is a strong proponent of, "You're either with us, or against us."

God apparently DID anticipate the rise of peeps like you who would purposely try to avoid the very idea of individual responsibility by substituting peer pressure and the forced mandates of the masses.
These signatures have a 500 character limit?

What if I have more personalities than that?

I'm the one politicizing god? :suspicious:

Have you ever read any of my posts regarding the separation of church and state? :ohno:

I'm just trying to find the consistency of belief regarding the followers of this Jesus character. You know...the ones who believe the US is a Christian Nation, who blame our ills on kicking God out of the schools.

Now...backed to those "forced mandates" of building infrastructure, waging war on dirt poor muslims a half a world away, and giving tax breaks to churches...

How was this thread hijacked by a debate about Jesus? This thread started out to be a discussion of the ties of the least religious, most Mammon-loving president in history to Big Money. :coffee:
