The fact-check website PolitiFact is reversing course on a 2014 ruling that said then-Secretary of State John Kerry was "mostly true" in stating that "100 percent" of chemical weapons had been removed in Syria.

An article published by PolitiFact Wednesday night said that the recent chemical attack on a Syrian city, reportedly by the country's own government, has ultimately "proved Kerry wrong."

In the summer of 2014, Kerry said on an episode of NBC's "Meet the Press" that the U.S. had "struck a deal where

PolitiFact ruled the claim "mostly true" based on information from the United Nations.

That ruling, however, has since been pulled and replaced with a story "revisiting the Obama track record" on Syria and its artillery of chemical weaponry.

"In the days and weeks to come, we will learn more about the recent attacks, but in the interest of providing clear information, we have replaced the original fact-check with this update," the new story says.

I'm fine with what Trump did, but why punish the base where the attack came from? Instead attack the people that ordered the attack. The world needs to grow a pair.

Speculation... but, I bet this is what prompted Bannon's removal from NSC.

This is Kushner / Priebus foreign policy and not Bannon foreign policy.
Bannon would be correct, then.

Amazing how military adventurism was so bad just a few years ago

Maybe the upside to this is the left will start to oppose it since Trump is for it

I saw that Zakaria clown on CNN yesterday basically claiming that launching missiles at an airfield was indicative of a lack of strategy

CNN has a headline that says "4 children among dead in Syria".

Now I'm not thrilled about the intervention and am not a Trump cheerleader but I sure don't ever remember the media reminding us of the civilian death toll of military action under Obama.

Candidates say all sorts of crap when running for an office they've never held. Even with briefings and the advice, you'll never know how you'll respond once you're in office and faced with the realities.

So does this mean Putin and the KKK "alt right" don't control the White House after all?

The first few months of his administration has largely been about two factions within his administration battling it out.

The rollout of the first immigration ban was the "alt right" faction [Bannon] trying to run things.

Bannon also told Trump to go all in on the healthcare bill - while, other like Kushner warned him not to.

Those two things lost Bannon a lot of confidence with Trump. Looks like he's pretty much sidelined. I think we'll see less of the populist Trump - and, more of a standard Republican going forward. But, we'll see.

Interesting notes coming from the Pentagon as reported by the news:
It took about a half hour to launch the 60 missles (one fell into the sea). Apparently they can either regulate the flight speed or make them circle the target because they all hit within 2-3 minutes of each other.
