Nazis have been marching in the streets for a long time. Doesn't really have to do with who is in office. The left monkey tilt is 100% caused by the last election. You guys were all giddy before Trump won.

The election brought out the whack jobs from both sides. The alt-left acts like armageddon is imminent and the alt-right has come out of the woodwork to reclaim what they feel should be theirs. They're all batshit crazy and refuse to consider any other points of view.

I'm talking about your average Joe liberal. It could just be that liberals like to be more vocal and let everyone know their beliefs (anyone who denies this is simply ignorant). I'd say most of my close friends are republicans (shocker, I know) but I really only have one that is on the Trump train and VERY few really went off the rails during the Obama administration. The few close liberal friends I have are off the rails over Trump.

On Facebook, I'd say it's a pretty even split between conservatives and liberals on my friend list (apparently everyone I knew and liked in HS are liberals). I unfollow anyone that posts political crap because I don't think FB is the place for that. I easily have 10x the amount of lIberals on my unfollow list because they have been the only ones posting political shit before, during and after the election.

This may be anecdotal, but I'm not making it up.

I generally agree with this. Hardly any standard-issue liberals are disavowing the antifa nutjobs, while a fair number of ordinary conservatives have disavowed the alt-right. Clear edge to the conservatives for integrity.

What they are REALLY good at is identifying (and then ostracizing) those who don't fully accept the orthodoxy

So now we have hard left pro life socialists being told they have no place under the tent, and socially liberal fiscal conservatives being kicked out of the club as well

We used to separate politics from our personal lives.... "Momma votes Democrat and Daddy votes Republican" with a chuckle is a day gone by. Now we have divorce and disownment over it
