What happened to mainejeff2?
I thought you were banned.
He's out campaigning for Crazy Bernie.
Agreed on Trump. Disagree on Biden.JohnStOnge wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:25 pmBiden is not mentally unstable as Trump is. If you watch him in actual conversations with people he is cogent. And he appears to be normally adjusted. Not the case with Trump. You watch him talk in any context for 10 minutes and if you're honest with yourself you're going to say "That guy ain't right in the head."
Biden tends to stumble when he's in highly charged situations. But, remember, he is a guy who had a stuttering problem that he had to overcome. I think that is what you are seeing. I don't think it's dementia or any other kind of cognitive issue.
What does the Oracle of Ferguson have to do with this?
Yeah - to say that he was banning all trade with the EU when it was just supposed to be travelers is a pretty big oops. Gotta be able to read what's on the teleprompter, at a minimum.
Be careful with that talk. BDKKK and AG will call you an Anti-American snowflake commie with a skinned knee...or some BS like that. Anything short of blind obedience and loyalty to Trump is verboten!
I have no problem pointing out that most politicians have failed in the past few weeks. Of course, this is also why we don't look to politicians to solve the real important problems of the day - they're not particularly good at doing that. Politics has become a reality tv show for the most part. And Trump is just one of many in that regard.
He lied about being banned

I have been in rooms with other women without my wife present, so I would say no to being Mike Pence.mainejeff wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 9:20 amGannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 8:36 am

Bill de Blasio: The “articulate” Communist!GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 10:25 amI have been in rooms with other women without my wife present, so I would say no to being Mike Pence.
And really, have you seen any politician look good in the last 2-4 weeks?
With that said, I listened to Bill de Blasio on NPR the other day - can honestly say I had never heard him speak before. He came across as very impressive. Might just be a small snippet, but he was cogent and articulate. I also attribute that to being under the age of 75, unlike most notable politicians these days. That could have something to do with it.
Like I said, the only thing I really know about him is hearing him in that 5 minute interview he did with NPR. Other than that, no idea. I'm sure I'm just jaded after having to listen to Trump talk for 3 1/2 years and then have those two near-octogenarians on the Democratic side talk too - the sound of a person who can form sentences was just too enticing!Ivytalk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 11:12 amBill de Blasio: The “articulate” Communist!GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 10:25 am

Ganny, you’re killing me here.
But he’s a whackjob. But if the guy is young and articulate (and bright and clean), that’s a storybook, man.GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:18 pmLike I said, the only thing I really know about him is hearing him in that 5 minute interview he did with NPR. Like I said, after watching Trump last night and then watching Biden today, we're flat out screwed. I would take the articulate whackjob at this point compared to those other two disasters.Ivytalk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:53 pmBut he’s a whackjob. You have Jill Stein on your speed dial. Call her.
..peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard..
On Sunday morning, Pritzker said on Meet the Press that he did hear from the White House late Saturday night. Except it wasn’t to offer support or help at one of the nation’s biggest airports—rather, it was to yell at him for tweeting about it in the first place.
