Socialism is the FD putting out the fire in your house, capitalism is your insurance company denying the claim. :coffee:
Accurate.

And who wouldn’t choose to spend their money on a higher standard of living if given the choice?

Interesting take…worker’s economic freedom to a high standard of living vs. Musk’s hardcore libertarian, anti-union freedom.

Real estate taxes on a 25 acre "farm" are about $2200 here and I figure that I save the difference from what they'd be next door in Indiana in front-end alignments and tire life alone. Indiana back roads will beat the shit out of your vehicle.

Exactly, just look at Biden’s border and all those people leaving commy socialist crap holes

Biden admitted today that his border strategy was not working because he was trying to make the United States of America one of the biggest shit holes in the world so they would stop coming but they’re still coming so Biden failed again

Thank you - and I don't really give a fuck about your formal education, just found something that winds you up - used to be that this didn't need any explaining when the old school was here - even BD wasn't as pussified as now and could give as good as he go(Now he just sits there in the dark and whimpers. Like Chuchundra in Rikki Tikki Tavi.) It sounds like our paths weren't that different. I had no plans for college originally and only went back to school because of the GI Bill and graduated at the age of 32. Believe me I know about the difference between paper smart and lab smarts - I saw more than one whiz at Differential Equations who couldn't do shit like put a diode in the right direction or would send AC into the DC end of a rectifier

I sure did, but that happened in 1981 while standing in line with my own hard earned $400 bucks to pay my tuition. It was a slow line and gave me a moment to take a look around and suddenly I put that money back in my pocket and got the heck out of there and never went back.

You knew you couldn't cut and you made the smart decision. You made it up when you paid for mine, I didn't quit and I appreciate you paying. Also 1981, how about that! I may have been standing in line at Sac City College at the exact same time you were standing in line at Trump U

It was March of 1981 and I don’t think Trump was a household name yet, maybe 1984 was first I’d heard of him

I could have cut it but I just cut out…I didn’t flunk out.
I was just ready to go do something real and yes it was a smart decision. I still haven’t spent that 400 either.

I actually agree with you on Social Security, take it as soon as you can

“Texas was by far No. 1 in the category, with approaching a half-million people becoming residents of the state. Florida placed second with more than 365,000 newcomers to the state, the Census Bureau estimated.

Eight states lost population from 2022 to 2023, the data showed. New York led the way with about 102,000 people exiting the state, while California was second at more than 75,000 packing up their bags for elsewhere. Oregon ranked sixth for population loss, at about 6,000 residents departing.”

People fleeing the NY horror show starring La Bruja governess and California and Governor Hairspray….

Florida booming !!!
