Hungary's Magyar outlines policy in first news conference
One of the factors that catapaulted Magyar to victory was his pledge to distance Hungary from Russia and walk back his predecessor's EU skepticism, especially as Budapest faces financial struggles and is desperate need of EU funds.

"If Vladimir Putin calls, I’ll pick up the phone,” he told reporters on Monday, "It would probably be a short phone conversation and I don’t think he would end the war on my advice."

"Russia remains a security risk," he added.
...
Both Fidesz and Tisza are considered to be conservative, populist parties. Over the years, however, Fidesz has been moving more and more to the right, potraying Orban as Hungary's guarding from malicious forces abroad. Most notably, Orban has repeatedly hindered EU efforts to deliver aid to Ukraine amid the Russian invasion.
...
Like Orban, Magyar has taken a hardline against immigration. According to Peter Kreko, he has "emphasized that he would like even less immigration to Hungary than the previous government."

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Experts react: Hungary just voted out Viktor Orbán. Here’s what to expect in Europe and beyond.
A Magyar-led government is widely expected to cast off its outcast role at the EU table. Most importantly, it will remove the Hungarian veto on the EU’s ninety-billion euro support package for Ukraine. Even if Hungary remains a conservative voice on issues from migration to enlargement, Budapest will return to a more constructive stance on other European issues. Hungarians widely rejected Orbán’s weaponization of relations with Brussels in the election campaign, hoping to become a normal member of the union. On election night, Magyar confirmed that he will heed that message as a member of the mainstream center-right political family at the EU level.

Moscow, the Trump administration, and Europe’s far-right populists have lost a Manchurian ally inside the EU with this election outcome. The lack of any significant impact of Vance’s and Rubio’s visits to boost Orbán’s electoral fortunes underlines that, even for Europe’s far right, support from the Trump movement may now be a burden rather than a benefit. It will be interesting to see how European populists adjust to the loss of Orbán as their ideological patron and ally. The Kremlin has lost more than just a useful disruptor and obstructionist in Europe, if recent leaks of the Orbán regime passing on internal information about EU deliberations and offering direct intervention in Moscow’s interests are true. What’s more, a Magyar-led government is unlikely to continue Budapest’s meddling role from Ukraine to the Western Balkans that often aligned with Russian interests.

Not unexpected. You posted that Maygar is as hardline on immigration as orban. It's rooting out corruption and no longer carrying putin's water in the EU where Maygar will make a difference

Is soros the MAQA boogeyman?

Even right wing Swedes, Italians, Germans, and Poles are seeing through the MAGA bullshit.

Meanwhile next door..
While the rest of Europe is enduring rape, crime, and cultural destruction, Poland is standing firm to protect its culture, Christian identity, and the safety of its daughters.

Poland is Christian. France, Netherlands, etc. were becoming more and more secular even before immigration from Islamic nations. Do they have a "Christian Identity" (sounds like a underhanded way to push Christian Nationalism/Christo-fascism)?

I think I said I expected Hungary to be more like Poland.
