Attack on Obama Riles Beck's Advertisers

I love the little censorship groups that get all riled up and start their little pussy campaigns like this to go at the advertisers to try and get whatever they don't want said on the air pulled. I don't care one way or the other about Beck as I only see him when someone posts a link on here and that is from one extreme to the other. I especially chuckle at the people in his medium that pull for **** like this to work in their favor. They're too ****' dumb to see that it will only be a short time before it comes down on them as well if it DOES work. This is every bit as stupid as going after David Letterman for making a joke about Palin's daughter. If you think that this kind of **** is good then you are one short sighted mother ****.

Don't agree with trying to get the talk censored or removed from the airwaves. However, have no problem with "offended" groups lobbying advertisers to pull their support from certain venues. IMO, no different than me choosing to drink a Guiness in a bar I like versus an establishment I don't like...purely capitalism & freedom of choice...

Sure, that's the argument that can be made but the group that is doing it is already having their Guiness at another bar and is just trying to get an opposing one shut down because they don't like what the other owner says. You know damn well that this isn't Beck's audience that's doing this.

Valid Point. And I don't agree with shutting him down because of his opinions nor views. However, if his product is no longer desirable and he gets shut down, that's capitalism. A company has to make a decision....do they want to appeal to Beck's crowd or the vagina squad? And what's to stop Beck's crowd from applying their own pressure and being sure to patronize those compnies who advertise on his show? The most effective form of free speech is that which comes from the general public's wallet.

Agree with ya, and all is true but that is the point I was getting at, now we need to have groups and divide more as to who's on which side and have another mouthpiece group to fight the dullards that work on the advertisers. If the guy has the ratings then you would think that should be all that needs to be said but they are too fucking stupid to see that it is another minority group and everyone so afraid of offending these little groups of cunts that they cave. It's no longer just don't frequent the bar if you don't like it Appa and let it die of it's lack of patrons, it is a case of finding some insignificant thing like a dirty bar glass and making it seem like everybody was infected with a disease and the health dpt. needs to shut it down.
