Roger that. I predict an 8-figure settlement for the group.
The Post's first response -- an "editor's note" that was a de facto retraction of much of its reporting -- shows that the Post lawyers are already treating this as a damage containment case.

I have found that in my life...
you mostly end up in the situations you put yourself in
So when guys like alphagriz end up in courtrooms and having to hire lawyers
(which is how you know you've hit bottom)
it's mostly because they've squarely placed themselves right there

This kid is a twat
and he won the lottery
you can spin that as hard as you'd like to suit your taste

:coffee:

The old Indian dude is douche and the Black Panther wanna be's are cunts
The entire lot of them deserved each other
Q: Name something that offends Republicans?
A: The actual teachings of Jesus

You would be right is those kid were out looking for trouble, but the facts don't support that theory. The kids were standing there wearing their MAGA hats waiting for their bus and were easy targets for the Black Israelites and the Lying Injun.

Must be cool to know things like this.

This is EXACTLY why he deserves to have a large settlement.

Gil, that post reminds me of a Boston Bruins-California Golden Seals (remember them?) hockey game I watched in college. Seals fans were pretty much hippies. A Bruin (Terry O’Reilly?) was in the penalty box, and a young Seals fan leaned over the glass and banged a tambourine in his face. O’Reilly grabbed the tambourine and smashed it to smithereens! A truly great TV moment.

A REALLY happy ending would be that he gets a big chunk of change, then gets one of his buddies to punch him in the face, and that buddy demands his blowjob

CINCINNATI – The CNN has reached a settlement with Nick Sandmann, a northern Kentucky high school student who had sued the news outlet saying it defamed him.

A CNN spokesperson confirmed Tuesday with The Enquirer that a settlement was reached.

The network would not comment on the details of the settlement. Nick’s lawyers did not respond to phone calls or emails at the time of this report.

Sandmann, a student at Covington Catholic High School, became part of a social media firestorm last January when he was filmed with Nathan Phillips at a demonstraction in Washington, D.C.

A video shows Nick and Phillips standing close to each other in a crowd. Nick stares at Phillips as he plays a drum. The situation unfolded after the March for Life on Jan. 18, which Sandmann and his classmates attended. Phillips was attending the Indigenous Peoples March.

I’ll bet it’s low eight figures, of which the lawyer will get 35-40%, but we’ll probably never know.

Yup. And that's just CNN. Wait for NBC, WaPo and the others to settle. This kid now needs a wealth manager and he'll never have to work a day in his life.

Shoot, he can simply live off the interest of his millions if he plays his cards right.

I wouldn't want to be the last one to settle. If he's got enough money already he might shoot the moon for the big payout from whoever is left.

Unlikely, the Phils are good at finding way not to win, it's what we do. Although this kid could probably buy the Phillies when all of this is done.

Low eight figures? Maybe, but I think mid-7 is about right. In the $5,000,000 range. I'd guess that CNN got the best deal by going first. This puts some nice money in his pocket, and now he can go big-game hunting, if he wants.
