But Elon Musk has been selling military tech to Ukraine so where does he fall in this? Transgender Nazi hero of the alt right? Or?

We're talking about 2022 not 1939 when by SG's standards, Poland screwed over Germany. :coffee:

You apparently weren't paying attention to how much opposition Poland put up against Nord Stream, nor how they have recently demanded 1.3T in reparations from Germany.

Of course if Poland did blow up Nord Stream, they'd have to get the okay from the US.

Poland opposing Nord Stream was in Germany's long-term interests.

Poland screwed over Germany in 1939 like Ukraine screwed over Russia in 2014 and 2022

Because Russia is using Nordstream as leverage. The less they depend on Russia for anything, the better off Germany is. Germany should have listened to Poland.

No Russia sabotaged the pipeline to cast suspicion on Poland and sow dissension in the west.

So, why didn't Sweden allow Germany to be involved in the investigation to begin with? Or even better, why hasn't Russia been fingered as the culprit.

That's some next level 3D chess. Russia sabotaged the one item in which they had leverage, and now nobody will show proof it was Russia. Putin's mind control is amazing.

Everything is/was 4D level chess for #46 & #45. We need to move past electing tiddlywinks playing buffoons as POTUS.

I'd enjoy having a boring executive branch for four years. The last 30 years have turned the Presidency of the the world's superpower into reality television drama.

GB1 biggest issue/gaffe was "no new taxes" for pretty much his entire administration.

Now everything little tidbit of a statement is over analyzed for international headlines.

Apples and Oranges if we doing it because WMDs that didn't exist. Ok.

I recall there being less than 30 civilians killed in the first 2 days of the drone/missile barrage. That number has probably gone up since we are more than a week into this new aerial attack, but if they were intentionally targeting civilians I would think that number would be a lot higher.

That said, civilian casualties are inexcusable and unacceptable. Now do Ukraine and their shelling of the Donbas since the coup in 2014, or better yet, just do the civilians killed by Ukrainian shelling of civilians areas since the Russian invasion. Or does it only matter if Russia is doing the killing of civilians?

I will tangent into this, if NATO/US was so concerned about civilian casualties (or even military casualties), then why no push for negotiations to end this war? Why was a potential peace deal in April scuttled by NATO/US since human life has so much value?
You don't negotiate with invaders that deliberately target civilians, comrade, you kill them until they leave. :coffee:

SDChamberlain :ohno:
Sounds like you should read up on what was going on in the Donbas prior to Feb 2022.

Looks like Ukraine lost the initiative as they've made no major moves to reclaim territory. Lots of speculation on a big battle looming before the winter conditions set in.
Not very likely unless its against unarmed civilians. The Russian troops have no desire to fight Putin's war and it is rumored that the "accident" that killed more than a dozen recruits at a training facility near Ukraine was caused by disgruntled recruits - I don't know if its true or not but many people are saying...
Speaking of attacking unarmed civilians, saw reports of some of the civilian ferries used by folks evacuating the Kherson region by mean of crossing the Dnipro River getting hit by Ukrainian shelling...or you gonna claim that Russia did that too?
