This thread is like watching Dback and MainJeff post about Guns

You were saying Cleets? Wait, let me guess you're going to try to get out because you think you added a caveat at the end.Chizzang wrote:There are plenty of solid arguments against marijuana legalization
but NONE of them include arguing it's Dangerous as compared to Alcohol or Prescription drugs

You're still missing the point no matter how much you cherry pick and extract sentences89Hen wrote:You were saying Cleets? You're pretty uptight so it was a reasonable assumption.89Hen wrote:Insincerity doesn't become you.kalm wrote:
Your posts.
And why would I be afraid. I don’t use edibles. Just trying to help you out.
Show me anything I've posted on the subject that has been wrong. I'm not a THC or weed expert, but I'm not ignorant on the subject either. Do you think I have no experience with this subject?

Marijuana is a drug and it has benefits, risks and side effects just like alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, etc. I don't think a nanny state government should be telling adults that they can or can't use marijuana or alcohol.

I love to argue, does that make me uptight?UNI88 wrote:You're pretty uptight so it was a reasonable assumption.

Question:89Hen wrote:And Cleets ad hominem rears its ugly head.
I'll give you the same challenge I gave kalm... Show me anything I've posted on the subject that has been wrong.

I'd probably say a slider is harder to hit than a knuckle ball.Chizzang wrote:Question:89Hen wrote:And Cleets ad hominem rears its ugly head.

is the AR15 is more dangerous than a 38 revolver ?

it should be illegal to throw a slider then right?89Hen wrote:I'd probably say a slider is harder to hit than a knuckle ball.Chizzang wrote:

That's clear.Chizzang wrote:being right or wrong isn't really that important to me

If the nebulous "they" could figure out how to legalize drugs without ME having to ultimately pay for those (l)users healthcare costs/living/dying expenses, I'd be perfectly fine with making everything legal. It'd sort out those with a pulse/motivation from those who just want to smoke, shoot up and get high. Course, it would also most likely exacerbate the already widening income gap....Chizzang wrote:AZGrizFan wrote:

agreed,
but the point is:
drug legalization and gun legalization - they are the same debate
The dangers of a specific drug are entertaining to discuss but irrelevant
the fact is:
If you criminalize drugs only criminals will have drugs (guns)
cartels and gangs and mobs depend on drugs being illegal - its good for business

Guns are legal (and protected by the 2nd amendment). Bad analogy.Chizzang wrote:who pays for those injured by guns?AZGrizFan wrote:

I find your "healthcare" argument silly when we have prescription drug epidemicAZGrizFan wrote:Guns are legal (and protected by the 2nd amendment). Bad analogy.Chizzang wrote:

Sugar is legal. Bad analogy. Try again.Chizzang wrote:I find your "healthcare" argument silly when we have prescription drug epidemicAZGrizFan wrote:

prescribed by doctors and PUSHED by drug makers

for fun:
who pays for all the adult onset diabetes ?
brought on by legally consuming sugar at unhealthy levels
there should be a 50% SUGAR tax to pay for adult onset diabetes - and I'm not fucking kidding

You can draw analogies, but they are not the same debate Cleets.Chizzang wrote:but the point is:
