Agreed. It's a testament to the poor history education we have in this country that people actually think comparing Trump to Hitler and the rise of Nazism are the same. Trump isn't Hitler (the difference between the two couldn't be more stark - Hitler was a violent ideologue and Trump probably couldn't spell ideologue) and Germany in the 1920's was a nascent country when it came to democracy and laws - it was ripe for Nazism. Not the case here. It's all fine and well to remember history so we don't repeat the mistakes in it, it's another thing to blatantly not understand the history and then draw false conclusions from it.

Yeah, there's a lot going on here. I don't think you were back here, but last year there was a couple in the area that got in a lot of trouble for allowing their kids to walk everywhere... school, playground, etc... but it was in not such a nice area and along extremely busy roads. To a VAST majority of people, those actions didn't seem safe. But the couple was making a conscience choice to expose their kids to this to teach independence.
