If you work at a place deemed "Abortion Clinic" and you're a doctor
You need extra security around your home
Officially
Since 1977 there have been eight murders, 17 attempted murders, 42 bombings, and 186 arsons targeted at abortion clinics and providers across the United States. In some cases, a small group of clinics have been targeted multiple times.

But to put your statistic into perspective, that comes out to (since 1977):
In a country of nearly 400 million people-
1 murder every 5 years
1 attempt every 2.5 years
1 bombing every year (of questionable competence)
4.5 arsons per year
God himself is more dangerous than his craziest pro life followers... according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in just 5 years between 1995 - 2000 he killed 374 people in the US by striking them with lightning

So you're going to ignore all the sectarian wars since the Reformation, the persecution of Native Americans (in the irony to flee persecution), the KKK, lynchings in Africa, and fundamentalist murders in Eastern Europe?CID1990 wrote:Yeah they have this huge contemporary track record of killing nonbelievers after the reformation∞∞∞ wrote: Ton of Christians I'd be afraid of, many here in America.

Now remove the nonbelievers part and we've got systemic violence against children and women, laws which have indirectly lead to the deaths of women, and often crushing discrimination against LGBTQ communities leading to indirect deaths in the form of suicide.
Christian violence may be harder to quantify (and often isn't tracked), but it's evident all around.

Holy shit. If we're going to start charging the INDIRECT deaths to various religions, that opens up a whole 'nuther can of worms for Muslins.∞∞∞ wrote:So you're going to ignore all the sectarian wars since the Reformation, the persecution of Native Americans (in the irony to flee persecution), the KKK, lynchings in Africa, and fundamentalist murders in Eastern Europe?CID1990 wrote:

And since Roe vs Wade approximately 62,000,000 abortions performed in the US. 62,000,000 to 8. Seems like the Christians are falling behind in this "race".CID1990 wrote:Yeah ok I’m going to have to agree with you on that - as a former cop who used to sit on an abortion mill or two.Chizzang wrote:

BTW, you don't get to credit secular deist founding father thinking for the unprecedented freedoms of the constitution and then say the church is responsible for slavery and the KKK.

Actually I’m a bit embarrassed..., you almost had me
I wrote this long reply about wars not being monolithically religious since the Reformation
But then I realized that your entire argument was a straw man argument. So I’ll just let it stand as a monument to ignorance and whataboutism

Mass genocide at its best, more than Hitler, Stalin, and Mao combined. Margaret Sanger left a great legacy.

A little 2nd amendment trampling, a little pre-crime, and... nazis!
Interesting .
Interesting .
According to court documents, the weapons belong to Kaleb J. Cole, who is the suspected leader of The Atomwaffen Division in Washington state.
Authorities claim Cole has been amassing firearms and training with weapons in Western Washington. Online videos show Atomwaffen members firing guns and moving through rooms at “devils tower,” a graffiti-scarred building at an abandoned cement plant near the City of Concrete.
“This is a hate-filled human being but one who, unfortunately, possesses a large number of weapons,” said Holmes.
Cole is not charged with a crime but is named in an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) filed earlier this month in King County court. In the civil paperwork, prosecutors and the FBI convinced a judge that “Kaleb Cole poses a serious threat to public safety by having access and possession to firearms and a concealed pistol license.”
The judge issued an order requiring Cole to surrender all firearms to the police.
Atomwaffen, which is a German for “atomic weapon,” is a small but extreme organization that seeks inspiration from Adolph Hitler and Charles Manson, who ordered mass murders to attempt to trigger a race war.
