No, in this case his VP leveraged to have a foreign investigator fired over a cush spot he leveraged for his son on the board of a foreign company. Have you not been paying attention?

My friend's MIL has made lots of money bidding on government contracts, getting her bid to the top of the pile due to being a woman and one-fourth Native American, and then hiring someone else to do all the work and pocketing what's left after paying them. On one particular project that involved software development she ended up paying grad students $12 an hour. I'm sure it was a technical marvel whatever they were building.

But at least we're fighting sexism and racism in the process of giving out contracts, right?

Pass through contracting in order to meet set aside requirements is an example of good intentions not working as intended. The woman and/or minority was supposed to be more likely to hire other women and/or minorities, mentor them and build the pool of qualified minorities working in and owning businesses in a particular field. Unfortunately, it's a lot less work and pretty profitable for the effort to just put up a shingle and then farm the work out to existing contractors.

I would like for a Donk to explain to me why I should have faith that asking the government to do more will be successful when most of the results to date say otherwise.

Your common core “education” is on full display. Obviously nobody taught you the United States is a republic of nation states. The votes in your state are not the votes in mine. But to comprehend that would reauire logic and understanding of what the United State is and how it works under the constitution.

With every utterance you reinforce your image as a common core baby.

Show us some math common core.

I’ve not seen proof of that. If that were the case, and Republicans had the evidence, wouldn’t that be out for all of us to see for ourselves?

None of here has first hand information.

Let’s use some critically thinking skills here. Let’s try to think independently here and not just spout whatever CNN or Fox tells us.

I agree. I used to work through that process.

I’ve condensed that same question down even further

I asked it on this forum during the debates over the ACA

“On what do you base your confidence in the competence of our government?”

In most cases, I don't think government necessarily has to do more.

For example, I don't think it's necessary to get rid of private health insurance companies. Health insurance claims are not handled by the state - they're handled by private health insurance companies who are reimbursed by the state. Most people on Medicare wouldn't notice a difference in the claim process from a private plan. They interact with a private company - not CMS.

Nah. And we're already a socialist nation.

Welfare programs ≠ socialism

And we have welfare programs that are intended to benefit the rich and the poor.

It is kinda what I do for a living... so there's that
and you're getting your technical information on "The Email Scandal" from Fox News

who have neglected to mention that Clinton has been under investigation since 2016
The State Department has an ongoing investigation into whether Mrs Clinton or her aides
violated government policy in their handling of classified information...

The Trump Whistleblower Extravaganza Thread

Post by css75 »

Now that the New York Times mentioned that the so called whistleblower met with Schiff ahead of time, are any of you libs going to admit this whole thing is just another hoax and more lies?

Schiff should at least be required to give up his seat,he won’t. JSO and Jelly will continue to let their TDS end all rational thought, oh well, the next rabbit hole will appear soon.
