Me too, except I'd adopt a cat instead of a dog.

Kills me how conservatives, who want government out of their lives, want to intrude on the lives of women. Also kills me that they'd rather spend thousands of dollars in public assistance for single, low income mothers, but refuse to spend $400 for an abortion. But then they bitch that too many people are on welfare and that it costs too much.

Ah, conservatives...just another way to say "hypocrite".
Only the irresponsible women that crank out kids and expect help from everyone else to raise them.

Then the self righteous bit*hes play the victim card when we are the victims of their irresponsibility and ignorant behavior.

As for the cost analysis, you really have no clue.

BTW, I have adopted a dog from the pound.
No, but I'm not advocating saving all Haitians from their plight at any cost. You are advocating the baby's life is most important variable in this equation. If that is the case, then are you helping the situation by opening your door to unwanted children to avoid abortion? Are you supporting any mothers who choose full term vs abortion if they knew they had an acceptable outlet for the unwanted child?

Come again?
As a result of injuries from the abortion, Gianna was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Doctors believed she would never be able to sit up, let alone walk. She surpassed all expectations. Today she is able to run, dance, and walk...and has even taken up rock climbing. She has also become a tireless advocate for the pro-life cause.

Many would expect Gianna to be bitter or angry about the fact her birthmother tried to abort her, especially at such a late point in the pregnancy. However, Gianna does not have any hatred towards her birthmother. She has forgiven her mother for the traumatic circumstances of her birth and treats the post-abortion women who hear her speak with compassion.

On April 22, 1996, Gianna testified before the Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee on the issue of abortion. Sadly, out of 13 members of the subcommittee, only 2 were willing to listen to her testimony; abortion supporters boycotted the meeting.

The committee report also quoted Shelly Lowe, a lab technician at Bethesda North Medical Center in Cincinnati. A young woman who had undergone just the first cervix-opening phase of a partial-birth abortion gave birth in the emergency room. The doctor placed the 22-week-old baby in a specimen dish to be taken to the lab.

According to the report, when Ms. Lowe "saw the baby girl in the dish she was stunned when she saw the girl gasping for air. 'I don't think I can do that,' Ms. Lowe reportedly said. 'This baby is alive.' " Ms. Lowe asked permission to hold the baby until she died. She wrapped the child she dubbed "Baby Hope" in a blanket and sang to her. Breathing room air without any other supports, Baby Hope lived for three hours.

Keeps going back to that. I don't care about the woman. I care about the baby.

So protecting babies is now arrogant. :(

Well, it's most likely from John Locke who stated,

But i'm sure in 1776, the framers were debating the problem of 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions.

While I applaud you for adopting a dog, giving money for Haiti relief will do nothing to develop the country. Giving money will be a waste in the long run becuase most of your money goes toward some admin costs regardless of anyone's claim that 100% of proceeds goes to Haiti. They have costs.

The whole abortion argument always boils down to one thing - when is the life inside a mother considered a human being? When the cell first splits? When the baby is born? Somewhere in between? No one can answer that question definitively and, therefore, no one can argue infallably concerning the proper legality of abortion.
