Then it's not, as you say, just the baby's life. If it cannot survive on it's own, then it's the mother's life as well, hence she has a say in the outcome until it reaches full term...another inconvenience, I know...89Hen wrote:Not what I support at all. Taking a baby out before full term is completely neglegent if the mother's life is not in jeopardy. Can it live, maybe. Would it have a better chance going to term, most often yes. The point was arguing viablitity from a pro-abortion side is a losing proposition.Appaholic wrote:Yes. If you say the baby's life is viable, then all we have to do is remove it from it's host that doesn't want it and the baby's ok not murdered, right? Is that what you want to support? It's NOT THE MOTHER'S LIFE... ironic you use the word inconveniece, because that's what we're really talking about. You put the mother's convenience before the baby's life. That's it. That's the end game.Appaholic wrote:Then it's not, as you say, just the baby's life. So, in your opinion, this is a person -89Hen wrote:To be consistent I should probably be against it, but I'm still out on that one.SunCoastBlueHen wrote:So are you "pro" or "con" morning after pill and why?

But you are undecided as to whether or not a few cells qualifies as such and can, therefore, be done away with. Many would say that the picture above does not yet represent a person. Who's right? Who's wrong? Damn if I know.
FWIW - I would never be part of a decision that lead to an abortion, but that is just what I believe is right in how I live my life. Should it be illegal? I don't think so and I think our society would suffer if it was.

As for whether that picture is a person... I can't answer that definitely. That's the point. I feel comfortable saying with certainty that an 8 month is. I believe 90+% would agree. All I'm saying is that I'm in no postion to draw the line in the sand as to when it becomes that. Nobody is.
